I deeply love the Lair, and echo Bernie's comment about it being my "home away from home." It *IS* my other home, gathering place, social environment, and in the four years I've been going there has been fundamentally central to the revolution in my sexuality that has been embracing my pervertedness. I'm a far different person than I was a half decade ago. Its vibe is utterly different from stereotypical Hollywood fetish nightclubs, and thankfully so. People have down-to-earth friendships from there, devoid of the posturing rampant in trendier places.

While I doubt there is a "BEST" dungeon or play space in the world, the Lair is certainly top notch! Good to great furniture, many play spaces. GREAT energy. Good hosts/hostesses. Very wide (really WAY wide) latitude on what is considered "acceptable" play.
The only drawback is that if you live a ways a way traffic through L.A. to get there sucks. Maybe they should franchise the operation and start a national T.V. ad campaign! August 8, 2005
What more can I say then I love The Lair!!!
This club is awesome~ I have been going here for many,many years and no other Dungeon in Los Angeles can compare to The Lair~ It is a comfortable enviorment for anyone, novice or seasoned player. I always feel at home here, and the energy is wonderful! Kane and Carreena are fantastic people and are always welcoming~ The play areas are large, clean and inviting~ When I take newbi's to check out the scene, this is where we go~ I know before hand that they will have a great experience~ August 7, 2005
I have been attending the Lair since it opened. Since that time, I have been to dungeons all over southern california, and none of them can compare to the familial quality that the Lair has.
From the moment you walk in the people are friendly, positive, real players with real relationships. There are all different levels of players and everyone gets along quite nicely. I have introduced quite a few people to the scene, and I have always taken them to the Lair first, then venture out to some of the other dungeons, but we are always excited about our return home.
