So I pissed off the 8th graders!!!! I had eye rolling, snickering, defensive posturing, whining, complaining and general unhappiness.

I told them they would get graded - on preproduction, written assignments and on air performances GASP

that they would have to pitch, write scripts, create prop lists, cast lists and time lines and OMG REHEARSE before they could film and broadcast ANYTHING.

Wait wait wait???!!!- the Friday Show is hilarious and improv!!!!

It was, but now it is no... read more

So it starts with Triode and I making the bed and the boys asking if they can help. Triode tells them that "the best help is no help" from them. Despite the warning E. reaches over and pulls a corner under, and says "that's, what teamwork is all about". O. chimes in and says "Yeah! that's what teamwork is all about and that's a family! Barnum and Baileys, what a show. I have to admit to some misgivings.

1. The elephants and tigers were healthy and clean, but you do wonder if they are getting enough attention (positive naturally) and physical activity.
2. What a marketing barrage. $12 for cotton candy (yes, it was big bag) in a big top hat. But on option for less, wasn't even available. The bill for a hot dog, cotton cand and lemonade was darn near a mortgage payment and then multiply by 4 - geeze. It wasn't the... read more

More card making material.

Drip dyed paper, not sure if I can call it orisumigami or not, but this is the first batch that I did with full strength food color. The next batch (drying in the sun; in the car; it is really windy!) is much more pastel. The only food color I had was the paste stuff, so I had to dilute it in hot water. The colors look fantastic though. I can hardly wait for it to dry so I can open and Iron. Then the tedious cut and paste work of making cards...
