My Testimonials -- Stop! I'm blushing!!

October 1, 2007
Ditto! Latifa is a fantastic teacher, and wonderful human being. Funny, charismatic, kind and talented, you couldn't ask for a better teacher. Confidence in yourself is assured when you have this hot mama teaching you the moves! Her extensive knowledge of Arabic cultures and language are unsurpassed, and I miss her dearly! She made something potentially scary into something joyous and exciting that we looked forward to each week. She even got us to get shimmying in *gasp* PUBLIC! She raqs!

Love,
Sara

Okay, I want to say a few things about Latifa. She is a fabulous woman and a great teacher. When I first started taking classes with her I was really scared about a lot of things. But Latifa has not only helped me with learning to dance but how to feel better about me. I really appreciate all that she does and the way she treats everyone. She is a great teacher and anyone who wants to learn to belly dance in a good atmosphere needs to give her a try. Thank you Latifa, you have made a difference in my life.

Re: Lyrics for Omda's La' La' ?? (in BellyDance Lyrics Translations) I found this song on a compilation CD but it was a lousy copy. A friend told me about this download site and I got a good copy here: pages.6arab.com/singers-ar...h-ar.shtml. There are 5 of his songs that you can download.

I love this essay from today's Washington Post:

Let It Snow, Let Drifts Grow, Let Us Slow

By John Kelly
Tuesday, February 13, 2007; Page B03

Bring it on.

Bring on the breathless TV weather drones. Bring on the frantic milk-and-toilet-paper shoppers. Bring on the desperate homeowners fighting for the last snow shovel, stick of firewood or bag of ice melt at the hardware store. Bring on the school-closing second-guessing. Bring on the endless chorus that "no one" in Washington know... read more
