Laurie is a mystical mythological paradox. She is beloved of animals and children, feared by ogres and tyrants. It is said that the willow learned to bend its branches in order to touch her face and the oak tree grows strong and massive to impress her with its virility. But mostly, she is a city girl. Or, more exactly, a port city girl who knows every hooker and stevedore and every dive bar south of the docks. As Philip Lamantia puts it "Her name is whispered across the sea. She is the child of broken elevators, she is the curtain full of holes that no one could ever throw away. She is the first woman and the first man, and I am lost to have her. . ." Amen.

Waste Man 2007

Hey everyone, here goes. Just back from BRC--wonderful communion of people this year. I look forward to seeing everyone at Anon tommorow night! (9th and Folsom 10pm+

The one thing I was troubled over however, this year was the lack of "green" in Green man. I felt pretty awful about the huge explosion that occured on Saturday night--i.e. using over 25K of propane to show that we can use over 25K of propane.

25K of propane, ladies and gentleman, would power up Haitie for a week!
