</a>
										<div>The Hafla was fun at kiras! I really enjoyed watching people do their thing, and although I passed on doing a performance myself, I did get goobered up enough to grab a bottle of alchohol and boogy a bit. Thanks for that oppertunity and all the help, Abernathy Sandy and all you crazy nuts!

Been thinking of the limitations I put on myself in order to fit the belly dancer ideal, and the difference between being a belly dancer, and a performer that happens to belly dance. I think i may have jumped on the wrong side of the fence.

I am thinking about all this because My life is really in need of some change... So I have been looking towards something to push me and thinking of people I admire for some inspiration.

LOL, the problem is
1) many of them I admire because they are FUCKING CRAZY!!! individuals that do things I donna have the energy to keep up with!
2) One I can't speak to- for some retarded reason I just feel like fighting with them- Strange huh?
3) Many do something that is really individualistic and appropriate for them, that would be strange for me to do as myself

ahhh life is good.

This leaves me with the belly dance competition circuit, which would require me to actually learn to go Girly stuff... not just fake it. Like actually remove my make-up at night. GAH!! I will miss raccoon face of death..</div>

    </a>
										<div>Meow from Colorado! It is beautiful here! The weather is clear and I missed being somewhere where they say "ya know you are going the right directions if the mountains are on your left"

Shimmy for the Cure was fun-
http://www.myspace.com/shimmyforthecure   or   http://people.tribe.net/selayma

Thursday I got some really great henna! I gots me an amazing fishy from Henna by Anita of Hummingbird Henna Design~ Dharma got an amazing back piece, and Selayma got her foot and leg wrapped and all of them turned a really beautiful dark brown instead of orange when it dried! http://www.hummingbirdhenna.com

Dharma went squirrelly about taking a Break for Winchell's Doughnuts http://www.winchells.com/ they do have tasty fritters... frit ters...

Friday night we were taken to a beautiful hafla hosted by Raqs Sayyal! The venue had a stage, but was really vivacious and fun! A overgrown wall with billions of tiny lights.... and posters all over the place and statues out the waaaaazooooo! LOVED IT! BTW.... the Vegan Custard is to die for!! www.mercurycafe.com

Saturday we were at the Dayton Consistory which is always a treasure trove of mysterious symbols and fabulous archetecture. The stage is amazingly beautiful and the lighting and sound is amazing!
~`TribalTique taught a great combo class, started out with crazy and fun yoga stuff- I just lay on the floor.and watch with awe! (pretending to be doing cobra of course).
  http://www.myspace.com/tribaltique
~ MMMMMM Tokyo Joes... Mahi Mahi noodle Bowls... http://www.tokyojoes.com/
~ Then all the nuts who came out for my layering class were a riot! I laughed soo much, and we still managed to get ourselves through all the great concepts and movements. Bad Monkeys Yay!

Saturday nights show Featured Kara Nomadica and they are soo amazing! And really great to dance to! They pitched in and improved a Cane piece drum solo! I wish we could use the harry potter chimney to bring them to Ohio!!! www.karanomadica.com Great CD!!! Soo fun to open dance to as well!!! Let's see... Dharma did a very special dance... They are going to sell the show video to the general public... muahahahahaaaaa!
~After the show Rafia lead us to Racines..http://www.racinesrestaurant.com/ mmmmm... Monte Cristo.... There was much throwing of stuff... and food art. "Did YOU find something tasty on the menu???"

Sunday Selayma taught a Sword workshop (she was me teacher... yummy!) It was funny to watch her get the students turned around facing the back and be giving instructions where they couldn't see her... there is no quick way to slyly turn your head around to look back with a big honking weapon on your head... endless fun!
...er skipped lunch... how did that happen?
Then my choreo seminar. Geez, who decided to make us work... still had a great F'n time! The mystic touch routine... we were definately touched.... I love you bad monkey nuts!!!

Tonight we are going out peoples watching and general schinanniganning.... I think they decided on the Church... er goth night.. Dharma, Pheonix, Selayma + Tasty treats... Why not? http://www.coclubs.com/church/churchMain.html

Dharma has been an excellent travelling companion...... . Selayma has more reasons to love corn dogs... 1 Pickle and and rosemary potatoes demonstrate body piercing techniques quite well... there really is a Mary Poppins purse... and Dharma is... and I photos to prove it.... This has been hilarious!!! Coming home in a few days snakes, monkeys, and Donkeys!!!

    </a>
										<div>Life has been amazing.... today I found myself again teaching the dance class that makes me the most nervous... I have a hard time sleeping the night before- and run out the door late every time trying to make sure everything it just right.....

For the Chaos! .... And every second of it is worth being surrounded and loved on by no less than 20 toddlers and their teachers. Asking for salsa dancing and to be alligators again.

Today as we were clapping to middle eastern music and irish step dancing, it got better by it being pajama day! I wish corporations had pajama day!!!!</div>

    </a>
										<div>YAY!!! so yesterday the boys came over and helped me dumpster pick a dark wood futon... we ahhh decided to forgo the mattress (grin) and gave it quite a colorful past in our own minds! Muahahahaaaa manual labor for Wendy's burgers... It is quite a happy moment! It is a bit bungled up, but definitely salvageable as a bed use!!!

Now I am going to put my mental Juju towards getting some sort of next to the door entry way thingy that I can put coats in and shoes under.... so I can retake the hall closet and make it a bath closet.. Ridiculous to walk to the back end of the apt to put your coat and boots away! also will be thinking of finding somehow an actual TV... any old hand down that is ready to take a VCR so that I can watch VHS tapes.. *Sigh* I loved Tivo... I miss it dearly!

Then off to show one of the Guys Momo 2* A japanese themed bowling ally- pool hall- hello kitty store- karioke private room- tea and fried dumpling extravaganza and Bar. Oh and don't forget the mandatory Fish tank! HA! HA! and I wasn't the overly ADD monkey that locked their keys in their car! Oh Ho no! But I did have the AAA that earned me a root beer float and free pool games! (I am not great at pool... but every once in a while I can absolutely run a table... makes me look like a hustler... but I swear- Every once in a while, a strange part in my brain turns on and works- I understand it all completely- Then I see something shiny! and it is all gone!)

Somehow they suckered me back to Broadghettos and the boys hooked up Dance Dance revolution. I finally had the chance to try that bad boy out myself in the sanctity of someone's living room! I had heard some rumor that it was actually added to some schools gym curriculum. If so... bravo! And curse the R/B arrow combination....! The beginner levels were a bit awkward for me... it helped when someone told me it doesn't register each and every movement you make on the matt... yep- definitely much less almost crashing to the floor after that!

After the boys ordered pizza we settled into watched the anime series ... er ? boro lagann... er... Gurren Lagann and its crazy spiral stuff** http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jC_lSGooF1Y (trailor) Almost finished the whole series... I think I was 8 episodes away... but we didn't, as these lovable computer guys go to sleep when the sun comes up.. Leather couch of goodness plus anime, plus pizza and friends, plus John and kitty love! Meow!!!!!

Otherwise It was great fun being educated on 'that's an internet thing' culture. If I heard some weird code words and saw the boys nod seriously and say that "I.A.I.T."to me again I was gonna iait! while I Karate Chopped and booted them to the head.. Which they did, and I did.... Which started me down a strange journy of what a 'trap*** is and Pastafarianism ***** (which has a great pirate fish car emblem)...

**Spiral Energy
In the series' concept, Spiral Energy is the power of Lamarckian evolution, generated by beings capable of doing so, like humans and other DNA-based animals, whose spiral molecular structure allows them to get stronger through the generations. Beastmen, because they can not reproduce naturally, cannot evolve and thus are unable to produce Spiral Energy. The amount of Spiral Energy produced by an individual may vary and is based not only on its own limitations, but also by its own will to survive and persevere.
     Spiral Energy is specifically stated to defy the conservation of energy, which in addition to explaining the creation of mass that is practically constant during battles, also carries the danger that if Spiral Energy is overused, it will cause the universe to collapse into a massive black hole. This event will be known as the Spiral Nemesis, and one of the reasons why the antagonistic Anti-Spirals are against the use of Spiral Energy.

***in the words of Admiral Ackbar--and a thousand Fark.com forum cliches--"it's a trap!". Definitely a fake.. (often male crossdresser)

    </a>
										<div>Ohhhh and almost better than partying all night with those monkeys was the sleepy time and then the SAT morning shower.... I got Aveda rosemary and mint shampoo and conditioner as a gift. I bet there is something better than Aveda... but I am not sure what! Life is soooooo great! And although today I smell like basset... Sat I smelled heavenly!

MMmmmm so Saturday was also a winner! bob evans treat for lunch! Their Fettichini like vegetable chicken pasta and hot cocoa was sooo yummy! Thanks Big tall white girl! .. I always love our talks! Sorry about having to leave you to that guy from the other table.

  I used my massage gift certificate so that I could brave the blood relative reunion. This time I tried August from Gentle winds out near easton. It was a really light tough massage- however he seemed to still get the trigger point in. I would definitely recommend him!

So my blood family is definitely breeding.... and it seems just strange. One part of my uncles children are giants.. an aunt has hobbits like me.... A girl cousin who is really endearing and redneck like my good friend. And they are all having babies! And others are this wierd blend of startrek commerce and boyscout activity (which of course I love). I am totally jealous I wasn't able to boyscout... and off that topic I totally know why I am a nut now.

Lol.. I see my people, what I used to judge the world when I was younger. It was a mixture of hugs, curiosity, jabs, snobbery, and remarks about how many years I have avoided the function. Will do so again.. so there (grin) Of course my most upstanding aunt walks in an my adult cousin happily announces we were talking about burlesque ... Which of course is rebuttaled with a pointed " I wouldn't know about that, I only went to your cousins ballet show (she teaches of course) *sigh* Yep.... They don't really know what to do with me... Blah.

One the cool museum side of life I have one cousin that is an unofficial freakin runway model.. I really liked that her physical appearance actually shocks me! It was fun! You just look and look like you can't believe something that tall exists! (me being only 5'2" there is a lot of things like that to me) She is just georgious.

When all is said and done. I am glad they all exist. I want to love them- but some are really prickly, and I am not that healed up yet. It all was a bit like going to the movies after a scary movie... Amazing adventure- but afterwards you are tired of all the adventure and you are happy to get back to normal life...

So off to The Eddval Vikings House. I miss being with them. They are turning their actual really real carriage house (already soo neat!) into a viking cabin/ photography studio. the axe throwing range still needs to be redone... but it is still usable... Any how the new Viking navel beer carrier is freakin georgious! The wood floors they put in made such a difference... And it has a cool lofty like sleeping place, and great fun carvings that I can't wait to show you guys photos of! Everyone has pitched in and worked soo hard on it for a few years now....

So I was over for a surprise movie. It was the simpsons movie! Which was fun! ( However last night the guys ruined spider pig forever with some weird Pig hentai clip... shudders... Gods forbid the religious pork is a no no faction actually see that little gem. Although I guess It is from Japan...not the U.S. but still!!! ).

Moving on... I opened my holiday gift to find a 30ct set of sharpee markers there! Happy Dance... Ohhh Happy dance!!!

Also my first bowling game is forever was smashing!!! Just look under cricket.... Muahahahaaaaa

    </a>
										<div>Friday we had a great time seeing Viva and the burlesque show!! It was good seeing King enjoy the "Jump" song soo much.. I now know what happens when one goes jump roping with gigantic Gazoongas that are not strapped down. Amazing! Anime is not always fantasy!

LOL! You find that you have undies preferences. I prefer full back panties on dancin ladies.. Ruffley undies are soo cute! Pleather is like a Fabulous mirror! LOL! Everyone shouted and hollered their heads off! It was funny to discover I was at a loss as to wether I should or should not take pics of my friends pasties! After thought, and Viva's disappointment at lack of photo, it is a no brainer... so from now on I will wield my camera with zest!

I was in a strange humor... and people nicely posed for photos being chased by my tiger glass... thank you.

Also it was weird that 1) people from High School were at that show- And 2) they were recognizable and 3)they were sober!!!! (grin) many people from years ago stopped by to say hi!

Then there was Nae's creepy good 3am macaroni and cheese and nobake cookie slam... Her husband makes the bestest sourcrout balls! (at no other time will you get me to eat SC so forget it mom!) Those girls can sure Party! </div>

    </a>
										<div>This weekend was packed full of great fun!

Kira had KC and Elana There for the show! I tried a quick change bit- and managed it! And Huria had a art for charity show!

I got tagged through the e-mail so I am tagging people here..

2) Your favorite piece of ornamentation?
I still love that diamond like costume that yasmillah sold me! She rocks!

a) get my mom on a one floor apt with a scooter so she could get around!
b) America - a painless (bionic and organic) body to match her beautiful insides
c) A cure for Denise's Dyslexia so she could enjoy life a bit easier- she works soo hard!

5)Something you are working on self improvement wise.
I learned recently, what everyone else already knows (grin) That if you don't have enough challenges you fixate on what you are into- and make everything over dramatic and over complicated. (in short- get a hobby!) Bad Bad Bad Laylia! So I am trying to work on learning turkish, going out dancing more!

6) One place you want to go~
Egypt with Jim Boz.... That would be hilarious and great fun!

7) 3 things you are into right now

8) 4 Favorite Holiday foods

Then devilled eggs.. wait make that 2nd favorite!
NO BAKE COOKIES!!!!

9)New phrases you added to your vocabulary this year- from friends etc..
Andrea- "Pants off dance off!" anything "Sans Pants" is better
"Va jae jae"... (I think Jajira? or Kelly) anyhow it reminds me of Jae!
"Sausage wallet"... (mom from renfest.. I understand it comes from tv though)
"Can't see the spots in the mirror" (old boss) /can't see anything but their own reflection...
"Can only see the toothpaste" (old co-worker) / can't see their own reflection and relize what they are angry about with others is almost always found in themselves to some degree..

10) Strange things to overhear..

"I wish you would quit rolling around in my dirty underwear!!!"

************
~random restaurant goers in TGI Fridays talking about how their aunt. Always deciding that the other people in whatever she was into were lame... How the aunt just assumed people were idiots-not realizing that it takes many people to make a situation happen and that they often evolve that way from lack of resources. (the family talked quite specifically about the turn of events that lead to some of the unfortunate outcomes).. Also the fact the aunt was not doing anything to enlighten anyone about her own damning judgments, despite her loud vocalization on her own views on changing the world. They complained that she was ritechous about it all. They Likened her to a queen just letting the peasants be dumb, self absorbed assholes while she snickered and tisked to those around her to the embarrassment of those she targeted. Like "we would never be so ..(thoughtless- commercial- socially idiotic) as them The family rounded over to the conclusion that the aunt was a lazy, cowardly, non-confrontational, hypocrite who didn't actually care about those around her- despite the aunts self image that she was quite the opposite type of person- quite open minded, about the community and a good force in the world. ( while I was picking up my things to leave to go back to columbus)- they were talking about how if she actually cared, she would step up and try to give people the skills they needed to change and not just judge them- and mock them. and something about her and Uncle Frank's dog... ~

I myself found it interesting that no one had the balls to tell the aunt how they felt. It showed me a lot about myself and people in my lives. It made me feel differently about some people I was angry with for just such things as the aunt was doing. And it made me look at myself to see if the aunt's behavior was reflected in me. The timing was odd because it echoed some other conversations I have had lately. ANd it made me wonder if the aunt is just a Type cast- that is a necessary part of the social structure of the community. And what goods and bads are to be had from having someone like that in a group. And if it would even be appropriate for the aunt to change and start helping others through what she sees as wrong.
Like a moment in time 'frozen' fix the problem solution VS everyone is in their own stage of growth problem solution...

    </a>
										<div>Sometimes around the holidays I can't help but feel not having the ability to drink is like not going up for the wafer in a catholic church.
god is a funny guy. Catholics all around me, and him making me allergic to his body.

...well actually his blood....
*gasp* maybe that means I am the anti-christ! You know I was supposed to be born on christmas and was too warm and snuggly to come out. Now where are my powers??!!!! (Straining to create bolt of fire) *FART*
erm. nevermind

Anyhow- I was reading some posts and it was interesting that people kept saying non-drinkers were anti-social.
It certainly has felt that way over the years- especially when my speaking partner is slurred into a different language I need that bottle babblefish to understand (grin) or when my neck needs adjusting from speaking to them while they slide to the floor... or more embarrassing..."please don't hump the nice lady yes- lets sit back down...... oh look- (clanking beer bottle on bartop) you have more beer to finish!!!!- "

Anyhow I do have to say all that craziness, when you don't have the heart to mess with your friends in public as you don't find it sporting to, or for the more realistic fear of it being done to you when you are stone cold sober.. (as non drinkers tend to be).. or.. or give into ones temptations.... (well we couldn't help it... he was drunk so we didn't know better) Well all that aside it can leave one bit bored at times when you just can't muster one more 'on foot' trip through a white castle drive through to see why they wont serve us.. or can't find the zest in a 270 a thon (local free way circling endlessly around the city) because you were hungry as you didn't get to actually order your sliders..

And to be fair to others, they don't quite know what to do with me when their whole goal is to get hammered. There isn't an instruction manual. Often they decide to look at me belligerently... (I am having this fu6king beer you snobby....) or like they are about to kill my cat (I am really sorry about this... but the beer- ya know.... it must be drank... it's cold in that dark cooler and should really be put out of it's misery!) Tee hee!

I do know lots of lovely fun people I enjoy -that do know what to do with a non drinker so luckily I was able to give Jesus back his wood...

(If I could just lure those people away from a certain someone's Closet....) Anyhow.. story telling, viking themed bars.. (grin) My personal favorite... buffet table VIP parties!!!! And of course dance music for pants off dance offs!!!! Rachel Brice (www.rachelbrice.com) Dancing on a greek restaurant table in Florida... Niiiiiiiice.

(grin) You owe me a dollar...
I also read that I am supposed to be a spiritual, tree hugging- anti kink Vegetarian because I don't drink. Which I find funny- Many of the people I know and love in those groups are lushes! One sang me a fabulous song about how Grapes are a fruit- and if they take off their clothes (skin) than so should we!

Anyhow I was just pondering it all...... sipping my ohhh so dangerous chai and hot cocoa mix -and of course off I go on a wierd brain tangent about being allergic to alcohol and The Jewish Camp Episode on South park and macaroni art...
I found a short but lively article about how drinkers should avoid dating non drinkers and why. It was really humorous!!! Especially the comment................
~"If you're an alcoholic, and you don't drink, then I'm impressed with you that you've been to hell and you've made it back alive. And I'll support you. If you're a non-drinker your whole life? Then you're anti-social and I think you look down on me because I don't subscribe to your crystal healing, "I eat only placenta for meat" bizzaro lifestyle. F U.
So you may also be enlightened.....
http://jezebel.com/gossip/notag/would-you-date-a-non+drinker-and-why-would-he-want-to-date-you-321745.php?cpage=2

I wondered if it was my brother steve..the Norse storytelling god. It is his birthmonth.. must call.

Upon further research and some grape Kool-aid I found out why I, as a Capricorn need lubricant (this time) with Alcohol horoscopes

hmmmm- NAA has some points. I could use some support. I was told I was a bastardization of the Irish race (completely serious) (I earn double trauma points as he was drinking a bud light)

All this nostalgia got me thinking about being with my sister in Germany and them putting cola into their beer.. Here is one example

You owe me a dollar if you've seen my sister's picture!

I'll end my weird ride and put a bit out for those soap box - eye rolling inclined.... I clicked on a site claiming to oust companies selling beer to kiddies
and found 'Secret Spells' Barbie.. How naive I was to think it was just a cute doll.... (muahahahahaaaaaa)

    </a>
										<div>Zoe seminar was great! Thanks Jen! I didn't get to the seminar in time for the first half- but that may have been for the best as I heard she worked the girls out hard and did a fabulous job! That left me ache free to enjoy the 2nd half- She taught what she performed~ yesterday I was really inspired... today I am happy but can't sit up or steer my car without my abs protesting.. (grin) Must take another seminar mistress... please may I have another!

Enjoyed a fabulous super relaxed ride up chatting with Chandara Gamals &amp; her Girls-- ate tasty treats with Jae (she makes fast food fun!), and just took it all in. I was tickled to see that Paula Norris was there!

Conchi , Akasha and more showed up in great humor for the seminar and really were fun trying out Zoe's moves! They did a cute cane number. There was also a Fun and seriously rockin solo from Habeeba's Cinci studio. Sacred Shimmy and Chandara Gamals girls showed from Columbus. America did Chandara proud with an inspiring performance, overcoming great obsticles to even be dancing in the first place then add on the stress of facing hip surgery of amazing complicatedness this month. America simply busts ass... and does it with a smile! Brings sunshine to us all, especially with her voice activated shirt- I didn't think I could get enough of Zoe yodeling to make it work!

Mariah Performed a new drum solo and was tickled to be featured on the event poster. It was really nice to talk to her- and hear her experiences with the competition circuit. Made me want to go cheer her on- she loves it soo much!

It was also neat to see many new and different performers. Bodhicitta was especially fun to watch for me- their musicality was awesome!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fE68MTmzkks

I didn't realize Zoe was going to perform a broken doll choreo like what I saw the road dogs do ( thank you wiporwil family) times like a bajillion!!!! It was amazing, and all the shapes and twisting angles and throws she does are like brain candy! Her show was something else.... I loved it~ I drooled lots.. ..then had to go after it. LOL. I couldn't hack it! I was a mess! I just kept saying *$&amp;^.....(*$&amp;.....(*&amp;$ as my brain was scrambled from being so into what I just saw! I totally panicked. Thank goodness all those years of pracitce kicked me into auto pilot! Not my best- but better than staring at everyone's blurry image like a dolt! Also forgot my barette...hair was driving me nuts (grin) they should call my video 'hair toss' and to top it off, I am out of contacts... so once I took my glasses off I couldn't see... It is a miracle I made it up those steps! Bad Laylia.. People coulda been telling me I fell outta my top and I would have had no idea.. Geez! my vision is really declining in my old age *grin* I am like a snake- gotta get my nose right into something to know I am there!

Jae's makeup was steller! And I got to watch Chandara use her secret eye trick- and of course Dharma was there in spirit - false lashes everywhere!!! We missed you Dee!!!!

Anyhow lots of amazing people there.. here is the video - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Kkxm19qiWk to see more dancers just go to the user link that posted it.. the fabulous Paula..!!!</div>

    </a>
										<div>This year has been full of change..
Another great dancing mind has passed this week. Always there is generations giving way to new, but this year has been especially so in my tiny world.

Salome was an amazing fiesty dance teacher here in Columbus~ We loved her and never wanted her mad at us! But she would tear apart fort knox for ya!

One of my favorite things was her stories of her past. Being at the phone company, and fighting tooth and nail for respect. Her love of dancing with her old teacher in NY and what amazing things she was doing to keep her cats well.

She is no-doubt took a look around in heaven and is re arranging as we speak I will certainly miss her stories of lemo driving and her dance advice &amp; encouragement, and her fighting spirit. Her students, fellow dancers, and husband loved her very much. And she's got kitty karma out the wazoo- I hope she has lots of golden kitties up there to love! I'll miss getting kitty love over there at her house! And her husband's fabulous pipe collection!

I am sure there will be no small turn out to the church on Friday. I am sure she will be waiting for us when our time has come. LOL and undoubtedly, she will have a few words of how much she loves us- and "what were you thinking when you....?" to say when we get there!</div>

    </a>
										<div>the international Gem and Jewelry show- My good friend and dance student Marta came to town! I always love seeing her when she is working the show. I went down on Sunday with John to help Mahalo Minerals close down the booth. I of course saw Tamera B! She is everywhere and she picked out a beautiful Labaradite pendant! I love them! I saw Dani- the handsome Iranian diamond seller that had definate opinions on how 'a potential boyfriend' of mine should feel about my dancing... It was not positive... that old catch 22 about him loveing that I danced- but I would have to stop if we went out. BLAH! Bossy buttcheese!

All the stones were beautiful and I of course went Shopping for Buddahs for my Uncle John's Collection. I found this crazy one with horns and an assless robe. Oh my god is it hilarious! And a beautiful wooden elephant that I love dearly!!!!

All the vendors of course want the most sparkle from their product- so they light the heak out of the place! I suggest at least a sun visor or ball cap when you go in to help with eye strain- sunglasses would be the best! The will return to Vets in March!

It is really wierd to see people dump diamonds out by the barrelfull... all the gold and beautiful chains at great discounted prices!
And all the neat people on the circuit you get to meet! Such greatly done turbans and the like! Hair acces... loose diamonds- beautiful settings... and all the czeck beads and tibetian things! I love it! I want more!!!

Parker and This weekend's Show

    </a>
										<div>This weekend was really something to think about~ My friend Parker passed on Friday night. That Pissant is now chasing the angels around or smoking a doob with the saints (grin)
He will be greatly missed!

Saturday was seminars with my old teacher Hakan Kaya and Deniz combo and then one of my favorites- Faten Ali Munger! I learned some really great new zills techniques from Faten- I just want to squeeze you! Lick Lick Tek a tek!

The saturday night show was lots of fun- Deniz and sandstorm did some old style 70's? belly dance numbers I really liked- Chandara's girls were there and did an excellent viel piece- her slow turns I just love..... Soo many good dancers....

Then comes the Best part! Deniz let me pick out her music and she picked out mine for the show. And we did not dissapoint eachother (evil grin) She gave me 5 minutes of nonstop happy egyptian music... I kept smiling although I was groaning and singing 'this is the song that never ends!!!!' Thank you soo much teachers for all the training that at least kept me moving!!!

Deniz got one of my favorite zill songs from Mystic Groove- and then Baliwood.
TEEEEEEHEEEEEE snort! Boy she is gonna strangle me next time she sees me! It was a hard song with lots of Emptyness! And then the DJ screams "turn this up" and the song went wild!!! Deniz was a hoot- and couldn't even take herself seriously with all the craziness! I think I remember her doing some sort of chicken dance rendition and seriously WWE it up!

She has challanged me to another Throwdown hoedown In febuary! I am really Exited about it! I think it is something everyone should try!!!!

Hopefully Gail will have enough time to give me a copy of my show- she is such an amazing person with FIFI the dancing camel! I also really enjoyed her solo!!!! Meow!</div>

Renfest Glass Blower News

Today I got the pleasure of visiting Parker, and a bigger pleasure of him looking in good spirits. He- is himself ,as always, even towards the end of things.. He told Connie in a quiet but very earnest voice "I try to be nice, and she calls me Ornery!"

And Managed to even give me a fabulous hand massage, even when moving is hard for him.

He is someone who really enjoys people for who they are and loves a good story. Even today in a quiet voice he told the nurse about when he first met Little Egypt -Deniz- Elle and he loved the wiggle grahm I did for him from her.

It was nice getting the phone call from Connie saying 'He himself is looking forward to your visit' and then his smile while we hung out... I am soo thankful he can still smile through all the tubes and wires and needles.

Soon hospice will give him a rest from all the needles- but I don't think anyone is too much in a hurry to see him go (grin) he is one in a million!!!

Perhaps there is time yet to get suited up and do a dance for him- once he is away from all the cardiac patients!!!

										<div>Woke up about 4 am~ Been having lotsa nightmares lately. Lots of change... What a time this year has been for those around me. I am ready for next year already......

Yesterday I finally got to see Stardust... and like the book- I LOVED IT.... LOOOOOOVED IT~ http://www.stardustmovie.com/

Today I go to visit someone very important to me in his deathbed... I hope for the best.. a miracle. The tumors are eating him up fast.. Kidneys now gone...

But he has touched soo many while he was alive with his art and his personality. His stories were fabulous~ and his expletives amazingly English (Grin) There was much more to him than he was in his former years and he changed radically. I hope for the same kind of realization for myself!</div>

    </a>
										<div>Upper Alabama is georgious this time of year~ In fact it is georgious in the springtime too... I just love it!
The river was beautiful as always and I was overjoyed to grab some shells that a muskrat actually slobbered on. People were not as exited as I... but not everone can find joy in the little strange things.... sigh. ...
It was wonderful to wake up in the mornings in Wiporwils enormous guest house and stumble down a few yards to the water to watch the fish slum around looking for breakfast~

I usually ramble on about how beautiful it is to stay in her Boat house... and how it is fun to think the scooby doo monster is going to come up the banks or out of the bamboo forest she has and... I have no idea what the seaweed covered creepy thing would do. But I would probibly shat myself anyhow! But her guest house is amazing too! 3 seperate sections for different people to stay.. each with multiple beds... she really outdid herself!

One of my many favorite things about being at her place is the Donkey up the driveway.. Loud and sassy little thing! Soo friendly looking for peppermints! I remember the noise it makes often scares people unfamiliar with donkey love... muahahahaaaa it sent one of Megah's students into the cealing... also scared the begesus outta Luis! It really does sound a bit like a strange prehistoric monster with it's loud-highpitched baying that bounces off of the river banks and houses... really creepy and super fabulous! Heeeeeee haaaaaaaaaaaw..(echo partialecho bounceecho echo) I tried to capture the noise this year- but you know how it goes... you turn your equipment on- nothing for hours... then you go to take a pee and it starts singing opera!

Anyhow! Down to the actual seminar~ I decided to teach the Mystic Touch Choreo as mesmera let me know she was going to fry out brains... which she did. And all those brave souls that came in soo early in the morning- did a great job sans zills. It was really early (grin) I hope they really enjoyed it! Sunday We worked on freestyling and getting tips. I never thought too much about how a slow tempo tribal fusion person would go get tips without switching into high gear. It was hilarious! I loved every minute of it- and everyone did a great job! And people were soo bend-y. Wiporwil Nailed Lunch... She had an order form.. and OH MY LUsCIOUSNESS... I had some sort of Chicken Fetticini breast on ficcocia bread sandwich. I should have saved the menu for my scrapbook... It was like totally to die for! THey appearantly loved pepperchini's on everything... including their garlic fries.. but strangely it worked.. Like a 7 year old boy left alone in the kitchen dipping potatoe chips in pickle juice- mmmmmmmm...

Back to dancing. Mesmera taught the final level of her jewel series, (where does she get all those great sun dresses?) and was everything she and wiporwil promised.. a crazy package of a all the techniques she taught over the past years in a whirling swirling goodness of a mad hatter choreo! Little to no combo repitition and lots of great new stuff! She uses muscles, I forgot I had, to dance. No wonder she is sooo tiny. Her dancing muscles are complicated. You can think you are doing what she is doing- and it looks ok- but when she really grabs you and shows you what she is really doing- I think... Grab the brownies I need x-tra oomph for all that! You can follow the general patterns of her dance- and learn em.. and then you can learn her subtle way of the dance. It is a lot of fun to realize you can take the seminar - get a good choreo out of it.. Then try again and learn a whole new style of muscle movement for each combo!

   My arms and upper back are soo sore from all the arm patterns I am too lazy to do on my own!!! My glutes are protesting LOL! Even without all the spinny directional changes of a hummngbird stuff I woulda had to sit down- as she stuffed my wittle brain full!

  The 2nd day She was showing movements and talking..using such big eloquent words like 'geometric potential'... and I swear the world stopped and I actually saw that white snow and heard the static noise of my brain shutting down.... LOL! I was just done in! It was soo pretty and relaxing to watch.. so I kinda sat there and drooled at them. I don't know how those ladies did both days but they did! ( although to be nice to myself- I think I only had the benefit of learning one of the previous jewels, but some newbies kicked my butt!) Geez Ohio People.. Look out! Stella rocked it out! She is really getting up there!

The Friday night evening show had some great suprises... I tried to be all grown up in a fancy schmancy cabaret costume I got from the beautiful Yasmilah...lol! I was going to be a day early, fresh and showerd, and all glam.. But columbus wouldn't let me go a day early... then the day of- a 10 hour drive turned to 12 ....and with all my excuberance I blew a hook in the hip belt.. Didn't stop me- but since I was in one of those skirts that are basically lycra- the thought of the heavily beaded belt going down made me pause a bit. Geez! Nakedness warning!! But those ladies there are soo stinking nice! They loved me anyway!!!! bless them, from the diety of their choice! Thanks for the cookes!!! And the suprise outfit of doom! And the glittery handlebar moustashe!

There were really great performances, fun ones to sultry all gearing up for the next days theme where different dancers performed the past to present jewel choreoraphies! Amber Did glow sticks with glow sticks attached to her to show body movemnt which was fun! And I learned about spotlight angling... I had never really thought about how you should do it.... it was a great education on how to set one up.. and that one could really injure yourself on them- burning... or it being super heavy and grabbing your arm, crushing it, and not letting you go... Bad spotlight! Bad!!! Thank you- you spotlight people... this Bud 's for you!

Wipowil who is a delight to have on the planet in general, seems to always have something new up her sleeve- this year one was an addition to her family- Wiporwil's daughters are really beautiful, inside and out. I WANT THAT CAR AMBER!!!! Ahem... and one of the duo attracted a young fellow from an internationally travelled family circus that balances all sorts of stuff on his face! Like gigantic metal ladders... and not the little 10'ers... nah... the big ones! ummm.... bicycles ~ and as I understand it, wheel barrels? But the audience went nuts!! He could also use his abs to make an elephant appear....
Aside from hiring the 'big cats wrangeler' to whip all the drooling ladies back into their seats........... I think it went quite well!

Saturday night I went with the big basket with horns and returned to my usual tailed persona to the clack clack of wooden spoons. Wiporwil wipped out a marvelous troupe performance of a strong and dark scimitar peice, designed by the Zenobia-ster. Geez Z has such a talent for strong choreographies, I want to toss her in a beer barrel and roll her down a san fransico street for not putting out a video of her stuff!!!

Anyhow someone also got the great idea of having people perform all the Jewel choreographies mesmera had taught perviousely till now.. It was really a highlight to see Stella perform. I have not seen her dance in a while and she has really been training, and I was totally wow'd!!! She is quite enchanting and was really enthusiastic about mesmera's choreo- brought it to life!! It seemed funny that there were two of us from Ohio all the way down there- but I enjoying hearing from Mesmera that Stella is a good friend and travel companion. They simply adore eachother- and it is fun to think of them causing trouble in Brazil!!!!

Lots of fabulous little things made me happy-- Including a dance to "coin operated boy". After the seminar stuff I got to chill out for a moment down in Wiporwills estates of the positive thinking!!!

I learned the squash method of peeling garlic from Marlaaaaaaaaayyyyynahhhhh the cook lady extrordinairre. She is such a good soul, and kitchen warrier to be! She has the patience of a saint- and good direction giving skills. I am all thumbs in the kitchen and she made me feel accomplished. I'd work for her anyday! We made baked chicken with potatoes, garlic, Carrots and other tasty vittles! Oh goodness the eating at Wiporwils is heavenly.... so heavenly..... they even manage to have those cheese filled sweet bun pastries I love soo much- gah! And oven baked cheese bread.... and homemade lasagna...(wiping a tear) and ground coffee... Meow Meow!
I, of course, brought the Rasberry M&amp;M's and Caribou Mocha granola bars... mmmmmm... sharing never tasted soo good! I was soo happy I was even singin jungle book songs on my way through the bamboo trail back to the guest house!

Down there those fun chicas are putting together a totally fabulous old timey pin up calander for charity. I want one soo bad! I can't wait for it to be finished!!!! Waaaaaah!

As if it couldn't get any better they invited me to go with them to the yard dog road show! http://www.yarddogsroadshow.com/ in Huntsville AL All my companions dressed up super fabulous and looked amazing. It is always interesting to go to a show with people who study the entertainment arts..... And geez the audience was great people watchin and clothes peepin!!! There was a young girl who dressed herself to the 9's.. I had to ask her mom about it- because I soo wanted to have that kind of taste myself. LOL.. She was amazing! This was all at http://www.flyingmonkeyarts.org/ they have MONKEY HOODEY SHIRTS!!!! And I vote them #1 for a crazy movie location... I loved the big electrical tower with the garden planted around the base... and a wooden planked building that had a foe brick coating... awesome!

Back to food....there was a tasty treat trailor there and the bean tortillas were amazing! So was the fruit! And the venue had little fans that they leant out for the sweat factor... And the Yard Dog show did fabulous things!!! My personal favorite was when they blew the clothes off a guy.... and how big the smile of the ring leader was.... They did the doll movement technique and had crazy loud wild music... singing through water.... and pants off dance offs! It seemed like they found crazy tall guys to dance... with their long spider like legs I was in glee! The 3 Dancers were super cute, and went all out! Diamond Pasties and big feather fans to crazy doll like outfits... I was in total heaven and loved every minute of it, cheesy and wild! Especially the hat I was allowed to borrow.

The icing on the cake was an Amish Produce auction with wiporwil. Yep you heard me right... A real auctioneer who was a super talkytalkerson! Amish buggies and wagons.... and squash &amp; beans etc! First off Wipowil is a fierce buyer! Also a real E-bay tycoon! And 2nd the produce was soo beautiful! All shiney and clean and healthy.. It made me forget all about my cravings for fried saturated fats!

I did have a wizard of OZ moment were they were in the Emerald city with the wizard.. It was amazingly strange watching the Amish guys push the auctioneer (who reminded me of old Fred from Renfest) around on the platform from lot to lot! Watch out you might get run over!!! And there was a really twinkly eyed Amish guy that hand modeled the vegitables in question... Wiporwil got a trunkful.. er of vegitables... and I discovered the Amish are a flirty lot! They were really fun!!! And of course- THERE WAS A CONCEsSION STaND! MMMM TaSty Ice Creamy Goodness! They gave me such a big bowl ( The ice cream was out of a big plastic tub... I am curious as to wether it was store bought or just re-used container) was it actually Amish made Ice cream? Not sure! but I had to say uncle- and pass it off to an uncle, after I filled me belly! I am curous as to wether the Amish have food restrictions? I had a funny moment where we went to an Amish house to buy jams, soaps, and candles... I was having one of those organic back to nature moments when I look over to see a little Amish girl eating Crunchy Cheetoes out of a wooden bowl... (grin) my organic bubble deflated and my jaw hit the floor! It made me think of how I noticed the same thing at the renfest... such bad monkeys! I had a great giggle at that... and back came my craving for deep fried saturated fats! Gah!

There is soo much more to the trip.... like Wiporwil's amazing Gardens... I will try to post the bannana bloom.. and Zanex-her paddle boat in which she delivered Produce with the geese on the river... All the great ladies and their schinannigans! Mr Wiporwil's amazing flying machines- fire tubes, tasty chocolates and more. But needless to say I loved it! It was amazing! I miss it.. and the people there dearly....

This trip was soo full I missed my chance to hang out with the party Mommas at the dance club... which was quite a scene with all the muscle cars jacked up on big while walled tires! And I didn't get down to the dripping walls falls at Wilson Dam... Like a mini niagra.. and a great ride across the dam. Makes me wish for a taller car!!!

But it left me wanting more!!!! On the way back home Tennessee was not to be left out of the craziness. When I entered I saw gigantic billboard on the right for paternity testing.... and on the left just past it... BIG JIM'S BOOBY BONANAZA! I wonder if they have t-shirts..?

Randomly
And for those of you who the camel spider gave you the heebeejeebees here is a video of it- and the reason they charge you! Not soo scary~ (evil grin)
