Pronoia

From Pronoia, by Rob Brezsny - "Definition: Pronoia is the antidote for paranoia. It's the understanding that the universe is fundamentally friendly. It's a mode of training your senses and intellect so you're able to perceive the fact that life always gives you exactly what you need when you need it."

I started this book a couple of days ago, and it's a good reminder that most of the "information" out there, even coming from alternative sources, is geared towards fear and negativity. Learning to be pronoiac is a good habit to acquire.

Hi Sunny,

Glad you liked it. Here's another brief quote from the same book, "Evil is boring. Cynicism is idiotic. Fear is a bad habit. Despair is lazy."
This is good material to keep nearby for easy reference!

One of my good friends has Pronoia (the book, I mean) and she reads bits of it to me sometimes. I should get a copy...

Pronoia
I have the book, it's big! and the kind of thing you skim back and forth in and pick up many times. Plus on Brezny's weekly e-mail horoscope thingies he puts good-sized excerpts every week. It's a wonderful book from a wonderful mind and heart. Makes you realize there actually is no law requiring you to think and perceive and react a certain way, you're free to really mix it up, flip it upside down and watch what happens. I've never found the horoscopes accurate for me--astrology doesn't seem to affect me any more, which is lovely IMO--but reading them thrills and inspires me anyway. His site is at www.freewillastrology.com, I think.

wonderful!

though at one time, when i lived near jet propulsion laboratory and unmarked cars with men in suits would park for hours at the fire road to the ranch, with no discriminable reason, among other strange occurrences, i would enjoy paranoia like a game and imagine all sorts of wild scenarios (any number of them likely true). still, i enjoy the part of that particular game where i end up laughing and or my heart is not burdened.

even better would be pronia where i suspect the universe is out to get me to smile.

thanks for the post and book reference.

This works very well when your intention is firmly set on an objective for example.and that you keep doing it in spite of most thhings and especially people's comments.
I have pulled a few everyday miracles that way but I am still learning.
