…what is this Red Tent Temple space? It might best be described as an environment of deep nurturing and caring for our selves and each other. We enter the space with reverence for the sacred feminine and the sacred earth. From that place we can explore sharing that is authentic and immediate. While it is not a social gathering in the classic sense it is, in fact, deeply social…cultivating roots in our selves and in the community of women.
As women, we have an opportunity to heal our relationships with ourselves and with other women by coming together in all the diverse and colorful ways we show up, and by being radically inclusive. This healing creates the pathways for the future. It is important work to rest and restore!
We gather in Ashford Ct on the new moon each month. Contact me if you are interested!

Leah-Love, wise priestess sister mother-rose warm luscious sweet inspired one. I am richer by far to walk this playa terrain with you nearby. The world is a sweeter place with you in it.

Leah is a blooming rose. She is courageous enough to trust the universe and make the life she wants....A beloved sister-goddess. I delight in her company.
July 30, 2004
Leah is a mirror for me...from her red hair, to the colors she wears, she is truely a sister to me. Her sweetness and love shines forth for everyone to share in. I have been lucky enough to walk the Priestess Path with her, and look forward to many more spiritual adventures.

We were wandering around the African plain together sometime in the 1.6 million YBPs. I forget exactly when it was, because we didn't have an accurate calendar yet, and mostly it was just hot, all the time. We left footprints on a plain of ash together near a volcano, figuring we'd give the paleoanthropologists in the future a fit. Nobody's complained about it yet, so we figure we're off the hook. I love doing stuff like that with her.

Samhain of 07 I received the last of the 9 rites of Munay Ki.
www.munay-ki. org
Feb 08 I received the training to pass the rites along.
I have experienced a deeper ability to process change and let things go. Like hummingbird I can find calmness in chaos. I have been shedding my skin of energies that do not serve me. I hold intentions of calmness and loving.
"The Munay-Ki are the nine great rites of initiation of the medicine way. The word munay means “I love you” or “BE AS THOU ART.” The Munay-Ki are the nine gates that heal us and transform our human energy field into that of homo luminous.
The prophecies of the ancient Americas speak about a new human appearing on the planet – one who lives free of fear and resides in his or her transcendent nature. The Munay-Ki are the codes for the new human. They are delivered in the form of energetic transmissions. The ninth rite, the “Creator Rite” was transmitted for the first time in the summer of 2006 at the Holy Mountains in the Andes. The nine initiations of the Munay-Ki have only been available until recently to the high wisdom keepers of the Americas."

PRAYER FOR CREATING SACRED SPACE
To the winds of the South
Great serpent,
Wrap your coils of light around us,
Teach us to shed the past the way you shed your skin,
To walk softly on the Earth. Teach us the Beauty Way.
To the winds of the West
Mother jaguar,
Protect our medicine space.
Teach us the way of peace, to live impeccably
Show us the way beyond death.
To the winds of the North.
Hummingbird, Grandmothers and Grandfathers,
Ancient Ones
Come and warm your hands by our fires
Whisper to us in the wind
We honor you who have come before us,
And you who will come after us, our children’s children.
To the winds of the East.
Great eagle, condor
Come to us from the place of the rising Sun.
Keep us under your wing.
Show us the mountains we only dare to dream of.
Teach us to fly wing to wing with the Great Spirit.
Mother Earth.
We’ve gathered for the healing of all your children.
The Stone People, the Plant People.
The four-legged, the two-legged, the creepy crawlers.
The finned, the furred, and the winged ones.
All our relations.
Father Sun, Grandmother Moon, to the Star nations.
Great Spirit, you who are known by a thousand names
And you who are the unnamable One.
Thank you for bringing us together
And allowing us to sing the Song of Life.
I am a priestess of Priestess Path, with ALisa Starkweather. A Priestess of Sophia, with Tiana Mirape. I have received the 9 rites of Munay-Ki. I am ready to pass them on to those willing (www.munay-ki.org) ,
I am herbalist, a reiki 2 practitioner.
I lead women's circles and fully support the Red Tent Movement.
The way I make money is working in a family practice in Bolton CT as a medical receptionist. I recently became the referral and discharge receptionist.
I am apart of a community in Ashford CT called Earthcounsel where we create sacred space together.
We have firewalks at our house, sweatlodges, and community ritual.
I am grateful for my beloved friends, Andrew, my path, my animals, the chickens, my medicinal garden, the land I live on, the hawk's cry, seeing a deer.
I love my life and feel blessed to be where I am in it.
Someone I loved once gave me
a box full of darkness.
It took me years to understand
that this, too, was a gift.
Mary Oliver, Thirst
The Journey
One day you finally knew
what you had to do, and began,
though the voices around you
kept shouting
their bad advice--
though the whole house
began to tremble
and you felt the old tug
at your ankles.
"Mend my life!"
each voice cried.
But you didn't stop.
You knew what you had to do,
though the wind pried
with its stiff fingers
at the very foundations,
though their melancholy
was terrible.
It was already late
enough, and a wild night,
and the road full of fallen
branches and stones.
But little by little,
as you left their voices behind,
the stars began to burn
through the sheets of clouds,
and there was a new voice
which you slowly
recognized as your own,
that kept you company
as you strode deeper and deeper
into the world,
determined to do
the only thing you could do--
determined to save
the only life you could save.
The Dance
by Oriah Mountain Dreamer
I have sent you my invitation,
the note inscribed on the palm of my hand by the fire of living.
Don't jump up and shout, "Yes, this is what I want! Let's do it!"
Just stand up quietly and dance with me.
Show me how you follow your deepest desires,
spiralling down into the ache within the ache.
And I will show you how I reach inward and open outward
to feel the kiss of the Mystery, sweet lips on my own, everyday.
Don't tell me you want to hold the whole world in your heart.
Show me how you turn away from making another wrong without abandoning yourself when you are hurt and afraid of being unloved.
Tell me a story of who you are,
And see who I am in the stories I am living.
And together we will remember that each of us always has a choice.
Don't tell me how wonderful things will be . . . some day.
Show me you can risk being completely at peace,
truly OK with the way things are right now in this moment,
and again in the next and the next and the next. . .
I have heard enough warrior stories of heroic daring.
Tell me how you crumble when you hit the wall,
the place you cannot go beyond by the strength of your own will.
What carries you to the other side of that wall,
to the fragile beauty of your own humanness?
And after we have shown each other how we have set and kept the clear, healthy boundaries that help us live side by side with each other, let us risk remembering that we never stop silently loving those we once loved out loud.
Take me to the places on the earth that teach you how to dance, the places where you can risk letting the world break your heart.
And I will take you to the places where the earth beneath my feet and the stars overhead make my heart whole again and again.
Show me how you take care of business
without letting business determine who you are.
When the children are fed but still the voices within and around us shout that soul's desires have too high a price,
let us remind each other that it is never about the money.
Show me how you offer to your people and the world
the stories and the songs you want our children's children to remember, and I will show you how I struggle
not to change the world, but to love it.
Sit beside me in long moments of shared solitude,
knowing both our absolute aloneness and our undeniable belonging. Dance with me in the silence and in the sound of small daily words, holding neither against me at the end of the day.
And when the sound of all the declarations of our sincerest
intentions has died away on the wind, dance with me in the infinite pause before the next great inhale of the breath that is breathing us all into being, not filling the emptiness from the outside or from within.
Don't say, "Yes!"
Just take my hand and dance with me.

My honey took this photo of me. It was much like fire walking. I felt the fire pulling me in saying it is time.
. I thought it would take longer but was ready now and I listened.
. Hula hooping has been great for me. I love the way it makes me feel.
This was a lot of fun and scary. C, ended up blowing a couple of the brackets out so I felt safe. It was amazing to do.
I am waiting for Johnny to send me some more photos.

In a current group I am working with,I shared rites 5,6, and 7 of the Munay-Ki rites.
These particular rites are beautiful as we are being initiated into the lineage of the women who tended the sacred alters and sites of the world, we are connecting with the sacred mountain tops and ancient wisdom , and gaining protection from our angelic guardians of the universe.
The day felt so peaceful. I decided to share an experience of writing an old story or current story we tell our self that does...

While at Wildfire I purchased a beautiful pink and purple moibus hoop from, Hooping Harmony.
www.hoopingharmony.com
I traditionally am very uncoordinated and never picked up a hula hoop when I was a kid.
I found the hula hooping to be a real "stretch" for me at the event so I checked it out.
I was pulled in when I heard you can loose 45 pounds hooping 15min a day for 3? months.
So , that's what I have been doing since last Saturday.
When everyone was over for a "burn" I played ...
