I want to express my deepest gratitude to all of my lovely, powerful, and amazing friends who joined me Sunday to celebrate my birthday ! I am deeply blessed to be surrounded by such talanted and sparkely individuals. I certainly felt loved and honored by everyone. I am thankful for all the tasty food that people brought and all the champagn and mimosa's that were flowing! Thanks for your generousity !! I am esspecially thankful for all the people who came early to help me set up and those who put in extraordinary effort into cleaning the place up after the party wound down. The house was shiney and clean with hardly a trace for me to clean up! Thank you for that! I feel blessed to call you all freinds!

Shaking it loose......

This has been part of my horoscope for the past 3 weeks! <<There's only one way to make room for new life: You've got to let go of the old stuff that's holding you back from getting there. >> <<This is your moment to shake free of whatever it is that happens to be weighing you down. Shake hard! >> All month I have been asking the Universe and my higher self what still needs to be shaken free??? What can I release that no longer serves me? I have changed a lot of things in my life over the past year. I have certainly released some behaviors that no longer serve me.....I eat better...exercise more.....sleep more.......barely drink.......rarely indulge in the "party" like I used to....I meditate and focus my intentions every day......I do my best to pay attention to how I feel in my life and be clear on where my stuff is showing up. This week something interesting happened. I got a phone call from my close friend and roommate saying that she was moving out effective immediately. There had been no previous mention of this possibility or any kind of conversation leading up to it. There was not much of an explanation why nor was there space for conversation around it. Boy did that feel bad! I was shocked, hurt and confused as to why this was happening. This was my FRIEND leaving so suddenly...with out any explanation. It was all over in a week. Her stuff was moved out and she was gone. After I moved through the initial thoughts of "What the FUCK!!! I realized that this really is perfect. The reality is that she and I are no longer resonating with each other. The way we are in our lives is very different. The way this all went down is a clear illustration of that. I still love her as a friend, but I know that we are in very different places right now. I know that this is just another step in the process of shaking off the old to make room for the new. I wonder what else has to go?

The Redtail hawk and Me.......

The other morning I went for a walk in the beautiful Forest Hills cemetery. I love walking up there in the morning, the sunlight comes through the trees sideways and the light is lovely through the leaves. I was going to the sunflower house to meditate. The sunflower house is a wonderful spot on the edge of the cemetery...not many people walk up there, it is pretty and quiet. As I came around a bend , i moved from sun into shadow and something to the right of me on the ground caught my attention. At first i thought it was a new art installation or statue....it was in the shadow and was standing still. As i moved a step closer it turned its head and looked at me. There standing on the grass about 10 feet away from me was an enormous Redtail hawk. It stood a least 2 feet high...it was just standing there looking at me. I had never seen one on the ground or so close up. It was magnificent...beautiful feathers and big fluffy legs. We stood and contemplated each other for a awhile, taking each other in. It seemed like forever , but probable was only 3-5 minutes that we looked at each other. The hawk broke my gaze and bent down and picked up what looked to be a berry and ate it, looked at me again then turned took a few steps and flew up to a low branch on a tree near where we were standing. The hawk called out to me then took flight and flew off. The light illuminated all the colors of its feathers. Its red tail gleaming brightly. WOW!!! Did that really just happen?? I continued to the sunflower house and meditated on the experience...What was the hawk telling me? What does the redtail hawk mean as a guide? MMMMM????? I did feel like it was showing /telling me something! I left the sunflower house and continued on my walk. I was thinking of posting about the experience and began to doubt the importance of it. When I had that thought the hawk appeared again...crying out to me from up above.......hanging in one spot high above me...then circled around and headed of again. OK...it was important...I thought. I got coffee at Java Joes and walked over to my house. As I walked up the street to my house, once again i began to think i was making too much out of the experience....once again as i thought that thought...I heard the hawk cry out and appear above...circling around and then flying off. I smiled and continued up t my house. It took me a few days to find the time to write of this experience. What prompted me to do it today was a Hawk....I heard the cry of it...then i saw from my office window circling around then landing in a tree across the way from my house. The hawk sat at the top of the tree ...i could see it sitting there...looking at me....until i started writing this. It took flight once i finished describing my first sighting of it. Interesting!!!

Goddess Gathering...come one and all!

It is time again for Angelica and I to host another wonderful Goddess Gathering ! This fun event will be on Sat & Sunday, April 21 & 22. It is open to any woman who is desireing some healing time spent with other women.....talking, laughing, playing, making art, taking walks, and sharing a meal or two. This gathering tends to be casual...come for one day or both...stay over if you like. There will be a heart share circle, pot luck dinner and anything else we feel inspired to do. So far these events have been extremely healing and fun! Sorry guys...you have to sit this one out.

Stepping off the edge.......

This past Tuesday, I returned from an amazing and transformational trip down to Mexico. For the past few years I have felt called to go to Mexico. I could not tell you what I thought I would find there, but I knew I had to go. Last summer at SpiritFire I picked up a flyer for a Tantric Shamanism Retreat in the Yucatan. Sylvia B. lead this amazing journey. "This is it ! " I thought...not knowing what I would find there, but I knew it was what I was looking for. What i found there was beauty, magic, deep connection, healing, opening and wonder. I came home changed...re-wired...needing to make some changes and no longer afraid to do it. This journey came at the perfect time. I feal that it launched me off an edge that I have been standing on...looking over for a while. Afraid to jump into the unknown....afraid to jump into my reall purpose and power...afraid to claim it for myself. Now I am in mid air....falling...flying...and I intend to ultimatly be SOARING. I feel fear and hope at the same time. What an exciting combination! I returned from this trip knowing that it was time to end my romantic relationship of two years and transition it into something else. It is my hope that we will remain close friends and I will still get to feel the closeness and friendship that we have. The day after I returned, I went to him and expressed my desire to end the romantic part of our journey together. I was nervous of how he would take it...would there be anger...resentment....misunderstanding? Thankfully he met me where I stood...understanding and agreeing that we are not standing in the same place....not wanting the same things ......that we are seeking differant connections and experiences. I am thankful for the easy release. I honor the beautiful, sweet caring man that he is and wish him the best in everything. I am hoping that he finds someone who will bring him hapiness and joy and will walk beside him on his journey. For me, I wish deep connection and growth....love that is supportive and free.... and someone who wants to be on this amazing journey of exploring deeper self awareness and opening to the mystery that is life. There is much more transformation happening for me as well. I have been working hard to build my Life Coaching business . Over the past few months I have been working on a new way to put my services out there. I have built a new web site and hired someone to create a marketing package for me. I have developed a workshop and a few other packages. I am doing my best to postion myself as a Law of Attraction expert. In the next week it will be complete and i will be sending everything out into the Universe./ This feels a bit scary and unknown...but that's OK. I will do it anyway. I will be spending the next few weekends home alone...this is where the challege of being newly single will come in. Suddenly, I have all this free time ...and Angelica will be away...so please feel free to call me and offer activities to do and hugs and snuggles to have. I know myself, and this is the place where I tend to hole up home alone with out reaching out to others......so I am reaching out now ahead of time.............

Shifting and changing

I am amazed that it is Aug. 21 already!! Where has the summer gone! It really feels like fall is here. The air has changed...the light is different, and I feel my life shifting and my inspiration going in new directions. This is all OK! I love fall and the feelings it brings. It is certainly my favorite time of year. I find my life changing and my attention focusing in new directions and I accept it because it is what is true for me right now. Life is change...the ebb and flow of it keeps me from settling in too deep and falling into a place of stagnation. I have come to embrace this change and not resist it. This in and of itself is new for me. In the past, I have been someone who held on for dear life to the places where things seemed to be at a high point...I resisted the down turn and the low spots. I always reached for the pleasure spots.....and longed for things to be the way they used to be. I was frequently angry and frustrated with myself and others...my job...my love life...my friends. I held onto moments wishing to exist in the good ones forever. Now I have learned not to hold on. I know that there are plenty more good moments to come. There are moments that will feel difficult and challenging to come as well. I know this and trust that I will deal with each one in turn. I will keep myself centered and stay true to my intentions for my life and I will be happy and fulfilled. I will ask the ever Abundant Universe to help me when I need it. Help me stay in a loving compassionate place, help me have patience and not react to other peoples stuff. Help me release my fears and let go of old emotional patterns so that I can experience things in a new way. For I know that my life is what I make of it, whatever I desire is there for the taking. This knowledge allows me to let go of the anger…blame….frustration …the victim mentality. I can experience all the beautiful moments I can imagine. I can learn the lessons found in the tough spots and feel sad, and express anger and hurt then move on from that place a bit wiser. Letting it go…not holding on…ever changing…ever evolving.

Goddess gathering Aug. 19th - 20th

Summer is flying by!! I cant believe that the Goddess gathering is only a few weekes away. So, it is my plan( Kala' too!) to gather together a group of beautiful, intentional women and spend some time sharing , laughing,walking, and exploring our lives and what we want for ourseleves. I imagine us doing yoga, getting to know each other outside of the party scene,supporting each other in our issues,and enjoying nature and sharing healthy food togehter. I would like this to be the begining of a group that meets on a regular basis. i offer my home for the first weekend. So...what i need from you all is a show of hands around who wants to participate in this weekend, and also who might be intrested in participating in future gatherings. Also...share what you would like to offer the group...or spend our time doing. Lotus has offered yoga....Kala meditation...Tammi a chant share... This weekend is our's to create! Let your desires be heard! Please respond by posting a comment on this blog. If you know other women who want to attend who may not recieve this because tey are not on my firnd list please let me know....list thier names and put us in touch. I will start a Goddess Gathering tribe in the next few days. I feel that would be the easiest way to communicate around these gatherings....invite other women who we feel would be intrested......and keep in touch. I look forward to seeing you soon!!!!!

What a wonderful Life!

I am sitting here admiring my beautiful new tattoo and thinking how lucky I am to have the amazing community that I have! I was blessed to be surrounded my some of my favorite people holding space and my intention when i recieved this new tattoo at Spirit Fire. It was amazing to feel so held and supported through the 3 hour process. Thanks to everyone who was there! I really felt your support!!!!! Spirit Fire was just plain amazing!!! I love this festival! It was so wonderful to have so many close friends there to play around the fire and to experience the workshops with. It was so fun hoopping in the afternoon and after dinner...I am convinced that it is good for your digestion! The Tantric breath & shadow workshops were certainly enlightening...and wonderful to do with so many friends. I am now getting ready for Starwood. I leave on Tuesday. I have to admit that I am feeling a bit conflicted about leaving my kitties home alone. I know that they will be fed and cared for by someone.....but i am afraid that they will be lonely. Yes...i am a softy when it comes to my kitties and i spoil them and worry about them when I am away! I am certaiinly a "crazy old cat lady" in the making. But I am OK with that! It was so wonderful to have Angelica back in town for a brief stay! I miss her being here! IShe has declaired that she is comming home for good on the 31st. Then we will get down to the business of planning a House warmming party.

Entering into the world of Blogging.

So...this is my first experience writting a blog. The big question is: What the Hell do I write about???? Do I share my experiences from the day??? Do I talk about the most recent idea I am thinking about??? My desires and wishes.....it all sounds really personal. But, perhaps that is the purpose after all. Today I had my second Energetic Healing Therepy session with a wonderful healer named Jordan. When you meet Jordan you can immediately sense the power that he holds...perhaps power is the wrong word.....you sense that he has something special to share with you. This is the first time that I have experienced this type of healing technique. Jordan works with your energy on multi demensions, combining many differant methods. It seems to me I have done this work and used these tools in a differant lifetime because it all comes pretty naturally to me and I really can feel and see what it is he is talking about or looking at in my energy fields. I have been working on releasing some patterns that no longer serve me and breaking energetic contracts that are blocking my evolution. After the first session my energy felt lighter and a bit more expansive. I also felt 'softer' in attitude..more compassionate and having more love energy.(Which was something we worked on). Todays session was a bit heavier. It went on for 3 1/2 hours. It was hot and after wards i felt drained...but also a sense of release and settleing as well. I deffinately sense a deeper clarity and peace. What I find most intresting about this work, is the speed in which it allows you to release something. I do plenty of personal work. I consider myself very self-aware. I have experienced it being difficult to release some behaviors...thought patterns...and beliefs. Even when I see the "behavior/belief/pattern" clearly before me...I see how it plays out in my life..the effect..and how it winds throughout the differant parts of my life. I still sometimes feel that the energy is deeply rooted in me...and sometimes i even feel that it is not of me. As long as the energy is there...the behavior/belief tends to reappear in some manifistation. This energy work seems to work at the "source" of the issue. You are digging down in and getting the root. I find it intresting to work with my energy body. Exploring all the differant demenisions and catching glimpses of the journy that my soul is on. Bringing me closer to my highest self.....what a wonderful journey!!!
