The Drums are Spirit Too
Attended Fushu Daiko's Taiko class at the Morikami Museum in Boca Raton and had a great time learning and being inspired by the way of the drum. Thanks to tons of folks who made this happen, but mostly my husband and inspiration Matt. The spirit of the drum comes through and is honored from the choice of the wood, to the animal skin to the maker to those that have played the drum before you. To play with less than your best effort dishonors all those involved in making this art form possible. Humility is key to the future of Taiko in America. Bring it on!
