November 20, about 8:45 in the year 2009.

So wrong.

I wanted to let you know how Hans died since we now have something definitive to grasp onto. Hans had reconstructive knee surgery back in Sept & apparently a blood clot traveled to his lungs - a pulmonary embolism was the cause... he was only 35 years old. It is so tragic & considering the fact that Hans put off having that surgery for so long, even more so. Sad. send out love & support.

Not that anyone does tribe anymore.

But if you want to add pix of Hans, send it here: http://www.flickr.com/groups/1320331@N22/

and there is a service for him on this Friday and then you can visit Haven in Pacifica.

on 12/12/09 we are having a viking funeral for him at Headless Point. a true viking sendoff.

Hi hi hi hi! It has been a very very very long time. I am sorry that I have forgotten you or gotten distracted by other things and sites.
So I am well, I am still learning and growing. I am mostly pretty happy.
I was so happy with tribe and so appreciative of meeting such cool people in the bay area, some whom I am so close with, some whom have sloughed off. but all is as it is meant to be, really.
I just really wanted to say hi and post a pic.

The Fine Line....

between a rather colorful life and a work world. Currently, I am starting a Facebook account for my agency. I like doing it, funny that i like it more than starting my own account. I am organized and have started albums and it is all good.
But... What happens when my information arises on the account? I am a colorful person and have a candid way of expressing myself. For instance, the dress that I am wearing in my current profile pic is really revealing, and that is what I currently have as the main pic for my Facebook account. Do I take my profile down to a G-rating?

Oh and here is a funny related story. I went to BM this year. There were only a few other people from my agency that also went, one being the CEO who I work very closely with. he is a really cool guy. But this is the conversation that ensued at a recent holiday party at his house. Somehow the conversation turned to us seeing each other (the first person I saw that i knew in the will call line) at BM. Then the conversation turned to nudity and I was saying how I am "anti nudist" and then I qualified as being anti nudist for "Myself only". Bob chimed in with how he didn't get naked this year for fear of seeing me and being naked. Actually he also qualified his statement with the fact that he was with his kids and their friends. Regardless, this is the kind of relationship that I have with the CEO of the agency.

Still, how do i make a separation, firm up that thin line between work and home especially when they meet so close on line.

I would also like to say that I never got so crazy on Facebook as I did on tribe.net.

http://onlineadventure.com/videos/Sausalito-Burn-Boat

This is an incredible video of the Sausalito Yacht Parade. Every year for the past 20 years the people of Sausalito put light their boats and parade them in front of the Yacht club. The club hands out prizes to the best boats. This year was a bit different. The White Holly took expression to the next level. Suffice it to say that an entire new category is now in the works.

Hell's yeah, the White Holly was above and beyond, Crazeee burners! And I was happy as hell top be riding on and helping with that boat.
Almost the highlight of my weekend, i cannot really divulge the hightlight (sorry).

Oh and just 40 seconds ago, there was thunder here in SF.!

I was prepared to beg someone to post a picture b/c I had three days of watching an animated gif of a woman with a cow head on and her boobs were suctioned off with some kind of bdsm toy and were bouncing up and downs, thanks to Good Michael >spank<.

Now I see something innocuous and electric looking. Hell it could be a torture device but I am relieved that it has replaced the main picture which was disturbing me on too many levels to mention. But I was being polite and letting good michael have his fun annoying me.

Although i have to admit... I am a sweat-er. So when i decide to join the kult of Bikram, I sweat even more. Big fat globules of sweat. The woman doing yoga next to me barely broke a sweat. I HATE her! although, I have to admit she was really nice and quite sociable. Still what right does she have to stand there with her perfect body, striking perfect poses, not sweating!!!???

Anyway, this post is not about her! it is about ME! I am doing this bikram yoga thing and I HaTe it! i hate the heat! I think I will never last the 90 minutes! I hate how inflexible I feel when I compare myself to others.

but I also love it. I love that I feel almost no stiffness or pain the next day. I love that there are people I know and love running the studio (Mission Yoga Yo) I love that a bunch of my friends go. I love that I am kind of loving the sweat. I love that I perceive myself to be more flexible and healthy in the coming year.

Thanks Juicy and Steve and Cat and Julia for forcing me to join this kult of Yoga!

I missed a few seasons which only means that I can catch up on them at some point.
Why? Why? must I be so hooked into a reality tv show? It is just not me.
But I like the fashions, not that I wear what they produce nor do I sew.
I just stay hooked in and get invested for some reason.

so this weekend I have been volunteering for DocFest
http://www.sfindie.com/
It is helping me stay sane while I am recuperating from Oral Surgery.
I figure, I just can't smile or talk to much, and it gets me out of my misery.

I was so excited to actually go back to the Roxie theatre to see 11 minutes which follows Jay McCarroll (the winner from
Season one of PR) post the show perks on his own with his first show at Bryant Park. It was a great Doc. I was really impressed
with him as a dynamic character, a great and innovative designer and the ability to make himself so vulnerable to his fans.
What a pleasurable experience of PR related fluff.

Come out to the DocFest!

I arrived with my two god-daughters Andee - 10 and Layne 6, and their Mom, a long time friend.

You know, it was a delight to be with them at something that was more about my life than theirs. I was so glad that Lynne decided to go.
I was able to introduce them to lots of friends - that might be YOU.

Andee and I ate at the Dust City Diner and she got more of a piece of her wacky godmother. And you know what, I think she is just as wacky as me. We ate pickles, carcenogenic grilled cheese sandies , coffee (me) and PIE! it was so much fun. We chatted with a ranger to our left and a crazy worn looking man to our right. I love that diner and feel sad that I never ran into it out in deep playa.

We got bunnification Visa's from Dan & Nicole. I told them not to look at the naked mens and their dangly bits but they did.

I trust that when I do get up, I am going to get going at a rabbits pace b/c I do have a lot to do. Work and Burning Man preparations. Yikes!
But do-able.

Had a great weekend celebrating Leo's. Had a dinner party for about 22 I think. This is the most that I have formally seated in my house. We were gonna do the garden dining but life here in SF was too foggy and cool for that. Inside worked out well though. And dinner was so good and it looked beautiful. Me thinks that Amy and Andy felt completely celebrated (as well they should). The guests helped to clear out the dinner party and a late night party ensued which was supremely well attended . There were a bunch of people that I did not know and lots that I did. It was fun to host a party in my home for others. Even, there is a woman that I met in NYC who is friends with my NYC friends Slater and Filthy! How random is that!

The kittens were highly revered! They got so much attention, got to stay out (in the yard) extra late! And were such good and tolerant hosts. They were exhausted the following day and pretty much slept until about 5pm. I love my kittens who are growing heaps every day. They are such a joy and bright spots of my every day!

Then on Sunday, the lovely Stiva came and helped me put my house back together. We were all pretty sleep deprived and whip-ped! but the house looks good.

I then celebrated the birthday of Lynne who is the mother of my god daughters. She and I went to Kabuki and than we came back here for dinner and lots of catching up. We need to catch up like every 3 days or so. It was so good to spend concentrated amount of time with her sans children.

Yay, i am exhausted but happy. And I love Leo's!

Oh Bernal Hill. You and I have had such an intimate and intense connection for the past 13 years. You know me, you know my footsteps. You have witnessed me through thick and thin (literally). You know my musical tastes and all the change in music and technologies. You offer me berries and red tailed hawks and dogs and sunshine.
You offer me fog like this morning. These are my favorite times to take walks because you are a beast of a hill and make me work out like crazy. Along with Folsom hill, you make my life both wonderful and miserable.
Every day when i climb up and around on you, I think, "perhaps today i will take the easier city route." and somedays I do. But often, I just go ahead and take the more strenuous route which is you.
You offer me some peace and solace in a city that can be crazy. you offer me gorgeous views of a city that I love yet provide something like the refuge of a country. For that I am indebted to you.
You save me money from a gym membership b/c I would much rather be outside in rain, shine, fog and climb your familiar slopes and trails and paths.

Thank you Bernal Hill! sometimes I think you are my savior!

Here's the story, morning glorious glories!

So the job situation has made itself apparent. I am not meant to be an office drone. I tried it, lasted a year or so, and it just doesn't look good on me. Life is gonna change and then some.

I got a P/T job at a social service agency called Family Service Agency or FSA. i am administrator to a very healthy board of about 20 members. I am going to be arranging all of the board meetings and attending them. How cool is that. Also, i am going to mostly be working from home and part of my job entail updating a database with board things like minutes and agendas and such. There is opportunity for working with seminars but that will likely take me to more than 1/2 time and is not in the works as of yet. I am going in for training on mon-wed of next week.

I am so frigg'n stoked I cannot even tell you. I have mostly in my life piece-mealed my life together. But this gives me the opp to have a large chunk of money coming in from one place. And benefits, which I will find out about next week. I am still employed at the exploratorium and still on a roster at a catering company (although I really don't want to go back to catering.)

And

It gives me the opportunity to go to City College and take some more accounting courses so that eventually, I can take on my own clientelle. I like quickbooks and accounting as it turns out and I see myself starting with my own first client(s) in about 6 months time.

So I am jumping out of my skin with excitement. I just feel like I am creating my life as I know that I really want and like it.

One of the first things I am gonna do is re-design my home office - which I have been wanting to do forever!

alas, if i can last these 2.5 weeks at the old job w/o taking my boss's head off, I will be the happiest person in the world.

Thank you for reading!!

Thank god! b/c I am so out of it! Out of commission! wasted!

Big work event, gala, benefit fundraiser was yesterday. That bitch of an assistant never returned but did answer question via text message. Like where is the $500 savings bond bitch? She had to answer to that! I have versions of letters that I am gonna send her as she has sent an email saying we owe her for 4/1 & 4/2. What a fucktwit.

Anyway, Carolyna stepped in and helped in registration and Jeremy helped out with load in set up and load out. Thank you both. Carolyn got there just in time to see her live auction item being bid on, that was fun.

The bitch made some major entry errors in the auction software so I am gonna have to deal with that this week. But really it went really well and the venue was super special. It was a huge warehouse privately owned in San Rafael, with over 100 primo cars from corvettes to to Duzenbergs, to chevy's and many many more, impeccably kept. There was even the biggest toy train track in it's own room in the middle of the building. Guests were happy, food and drink were flowing. And I am just plain exhausted. Must've been the stress and hyperdrive activity of the last 4 days.

Reminds me of when i was producing an event for the BPF with Thich Nhat Hanh. And just 2 days before the event, two large towers were blown apart in NYC. Talk about hyper drive combined with shock. The venue, BCT sold out and I had to process all those tickets and deal with the state of the world!

This was nothing so extreme, but having a person quit on you that you were completely depending on is the suck!
Funny enough, this event woman from Marin, whom the bitch hated because she was cute and small and attractive, stepped in and helped me on Thursday and then for the day of event. She was AWESOME! I want her to really know just how awesome she was and the bitter side of myself wants the stupid bitch of an ex assistant know that it was Ashley that stepped in and how invaluable she was! We'll see. Hopefully my anger and exhaustion will subside and I won't make myself so base as to do that and will just let it go.

but for now, I am wasted, resting and still quite angry.

alas.

So, there i was in Peets in Millbrae, with my bliss sound system on so that i cannot hear anyone or anything. And this douchebag with pants up to his chin mumbles something to me or anyone at the milk station of Peets in Mollie Stones. When i stay in Millbrae, i stop in for a cuppa Joe and I really like the cute hippie boys who work there. So cute.

but anyway, this cretin, this moronic idiot mumbles something and I kinda hear dalai lama. I could ignore him as I tend to do but decide to take an earpiece out and say, "Whaaa?"

He mumbles, 'the dalai lama is chicken shit'.

Now I am pretty sure he is chinese, and I am thinking, wtf? I didn't engage with you but I cannot allow this twitwad to get away with saying shit like that. My blood was boiling. Ugh! So as he comes out and I am getting into my vehicle, with my headphones on, i say, "you look more like a chicken shit to me!'

and then he says something but I cannot hear and I think, "why? this guy is spewing at anyone it seems and i just had to give it back to him!" Hope I made your day fucker!

Okay, I have been without a menorah since I left my families home some 30 years ago. And just today, i received this menorah from my neighbor Jim. He is a junk collector and our landlord has been getting down on him to get rid of his junk.

I walked down to the garden to do my laundry and check out the work that David, my neighbor has been doing down there. And alas, on a table was this very menorah. I said to Jim, "is that your menorah?" He said, "yeah, you want it?"

Of course I want a menorah. I have wanted a menorah for many years.
