I'm happily married 25+ years, 2 kids, 3 grandkids, many pets, many hobbies, many interests... I am an USAF veteran married to a retired Marine, an Orthodox Christian, and occasionally a reactionary old broad. I believe in manners, I do not believe in Political Correctness. I like to discuss religion, food, handiwork, blackwork embroidery, things I saw on TV, books, movies ,lots of stuff- BUT I do NOT want to date, marry, have sex (real or virtual) with anybody, and if you show me nekkid pictures I will (a) make fun of your anatomy (b) put you on the ignore list and (c) report you as abusive; I also have no interest in helping any foreign persons to deposit vast amounts of money into American banks in order to give it to charity - unless, of course, you show up on my doorstep with a semi-trailer full of actual CASH, and then we'll talk....

New Embroidery

Been a busy few weeks designing, but I'm ready to start stitching on the new rushnyk for the church. Here's a scan of the first color/pattern test....

it's a monochrome embroidery technique, very popular in the 16th century - it can be as simple as all backstitch, or very very complicated, but the effect is of colored lace on a white background. Hope that helps a bit!
