I am pulling my Bicycle out of mothballs and I have started to train again. It has been 16yrs since I Rode my bicycle in an event like this. Those of you who have known me for a long time remember when I used to race. Well here is a chance for me to get back on my bike and Raise money for a good cause, to help fight Diabetes. I have two family members with Diabetes and have lost a family member to diabetes. Two of my closest friends I grew up with Dan and Mark both are living with Diabetes. I presently work at Abbott Diabetes Care in R&D developing new and better devices to help make the lives of those living with Diabetes a little bit better. It is a job that I am proud of and it gives me a since of pride that I am making a difference in peoples lives. Please help me in my quest. Below is the official email and info for sponsoring me. Thank you all.

I recently accepted the challenge of cycling in the American Diabetes Association's Tour de Cure fund-raising event. The Tour de Cure is a series of cycling events held in over 80 cities nationwide. The Tour is a ride, not a race; it features different route lengths from a leisurely 10-mile course to a demanding 100-mile journey. I have joined thousands of others to pedal in support of the Association's mission: to prevent and cure diabetes and to improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes.

I am asking you to help by supporting my fund-raising efforts with a donation. Your tax-deductible gift will make a difference in the lives of more than 20 million Americans who suffer from diabetes and another 54 million people in the United States with pre-diabetes.

It's fast and easy to support this great cause - you can make your donation online by selecting the "Click to Support Me" link below.

Any amount, great or small, helps in the fight against this deadly disease. I greatly appreciate your support and will keep you posted on my progress. If you want to do even more to help, please consider joining me in this great event. Our efforts will help set the pace in the fight against diabetes.

To My Friends

To my friends, 04/MAR/2008

I have made a decision to finely bring to a close a chapter in my life. Do to recent events, family, and personal issues. It is my decision to step out of the world I have loved and been apart of since I was 14yrs old. Through the years I have made many friends and it seems a few enemies too. Over the years I have seen many of you grow up from little brats to fine outstanding young men and women. I have lost those who where dear to me and are still in my prayers (they are in a better place now, I still miss each and every one of them). I have made friends that have become closer to me then my own family. I have fallen so hopelessly in Love and felt what it was like to truly be happy only to be hurt beyond belief. I have been there through the changes, the rise and fall of many of our events. Some of you have helped me through the toughest times in my life. When I was sick, the loss of my son, you know who you are thank you and you all have my undying love. I have put my self in harms way to protect some of you and I would do it again. Some of you have done the same for me. I have acquired so many wonderful memories and stories of each and every one of you. Many I can’t speak about. But, they are very fond memories. It appears I have also hurt some people along the way, for this I am truly sorry. I may have wronged a few people over the years. 24 years is allot of time to make mistakes. I have always tried to find to good in every one I meet. I don’t dwell on the negative. This is why I have so many of you as friends. I have accepted all of you for who you are. For this I have been blessed. I love each and every one of you.

Recent events have me wondering what I could have done to bring a dark cloud over the world I love so much. I feel it is time for me to now step down. Make room for someone new. I have brought on a shit storm to this world I have loved so much. I always said “once this is no longer fun I will walk away.” Well this is not fun any more. I don’t care what is said about me. I know who my friends are. If I loose some friends over someone’s blasphemy; then they truly where not my friends. I think of it as a friend filter. Someone else was hurt by recent events. Someone who should not have been hurt. Someone whom I care so deeply for, for a short time she made me the happiest I have ever been. It is because of this I am stepping out of this world. Because of some thing I have done, this person was also hurt. I can’t have this. In no way am I going to bring any more pain to this person. She means more to me then my own life. I now know what is like to truly love and what one must do to protect that love.

In 1969 Mick Jagger of the Rolling Stones announced there farewell tour. So since I have lived a some what rock star life. So to speak. Consider this my Farewell tour. I will be at Sonora this weekend. To see my friends and family. You know who you are. Look me up I shall be around somewhere. I have some obligation with my guilds so I may be around at some of the other fairs. To all of you who have been my friends, it has been an Honor. To those of you who have become my family, I love you. And to my friend who was hurt because of this, No matter what life throws at you, I will always stand by you.
