I have always maintained that to play with David properly means (for me) being able to put aside the needs and wants of the every day world. The schedules, agendas, to do lists and so on. David has the capacity to BE in a way that is richly rewarding but oh so rare. Teenagers know how to do it, which I guess is why people often think fondly of their teen years and the friends they made then.
With David it is possible to follow down the meandering paths of existence, to enter an alternate reality where there is enough time, enough love, enough of everything - and to return refreshed and inspired. I totally appreciate this friendship.
