I moved back to Austin in June of 2007 from Auckland, New Zealand. Before June of 2006, I had been living in London since December of 2003. I started bellydance back in 2001 in Austin.
In the 3-4 years abroad, I studied intensively with Hossam and Serena Ramzy, traveled to Egypt and Lebanon, taught general bellydance classes, private classes, and tribal fusion bellydance workshops. I've met some wonderful people along the way, in London, Tokyo, New Zealand, and at Amani's Oriental Festival. Thanks for all the lovely memories. When I landed in Auckland, it was 5:30 in the morning. By the time, I got through immigration, baggage claim, and customs, it was 6:00. I was picked up by my dear friend Louise's man Mark, who was so helpful throughout the trip. We had some time before I was to check in to my room, so Mark swung by the near by beach to watch the sunrise. It was amazing; chilly but amazing. The beach was maybe about 10 minutes away... ya gotta love New Zealand!

It's amazing how my life comes to a stand still when I cannot use my laptop. Trying to catch up on some work this weekend, I turned on my laptop and it booted to safe mode. I tried to do some clean up, but now it won't even boot to any safe mode.

Back up your stuff. Your life could depend on it! 
I've been on the road for the past 3.5 years. I've enjoyed traveling to foreign countries, using different modes of transportation, walking everywhere, trying to speak the Queen's English, Italian, French, Japanese, Spanish, German, Swiss-German, and Dutch, and visiting some of the most exciting cities in the world. I am truly lucky to have had this experience. But all good things come to an end.
