<div>Hello Friends,

I hope this email finds you happy and well as we enter into the warm summer months.

Since I finished up my 720 hour Massage Therapy program in February I have been enjoying my work as a Massage Therapist at Conscious Chiropractic in San Francisco 3-4 days a week. Seeing such a variety of clients (with an array of issues from tennis elbow to sciatica to chronic headaches) has been an excellent opportunity for me to practice an hone my skills over the last 3 months.

In addition, I am still seeing private clients and am actively working to build my private practice here in the East Bay. My style of massage is rooted in therapeutic Deep Tissue,Trigger Point, and Shiatsu acupressure massage. Aside from receiving a great bodywork, here are some perks of booking a massage with yours truly...

Still looking for a place to live...

<div>HI Lovely People,

So the search for a home is still going...Here's what I posted on Craig's List. If you or anyone you know happens to know of a great living situation, please do be in touch.

Much love,
Lindsey
-----------------------------------------------------

Need a Great Roommate?

A little about me: I’m 28, female and am currently attending the National Holistic Institute of massage therapy in Emeryville. I will finish up school in February and am really enjoying the field of work I’m getting into. I love going to see live music and dancing. I love any kind of outdoor activity (cycling, hiking, climbing, rafting, running, swimming etc). I am clean, responsible, have a liberal political view and appreciate healthy, organic food. I used to have a job in the environmental policy field so sustainable living is important to me. I believe in taking care of myself but also like to let my hair down every once and awhile and party.

What I’m looking for in a place: I need to be out of my place by Oct 15th at the latest. I am flexible with an earlier move in date, however. I really want to be in a safe neighborhood. I can pay around $700 or $800 a month. I’d like something that isn’t too far from Berkeley or Oakland (I like commuting on my bike) but am also ok with something up in the hills if it’s the right fit (I have a car too). I’d prefer not to live with more than 2 or 3 other people, but once again, I’m flexible with that if the right situation presents itself. I know there are some great communal housing situations out there. Some kind of outdoor space (patio, deck, yard, garden) would be awesome. Ideally the space is clean, has some character (hardwood floors are a bonus) and hopefully there’s a bathtub (I’ve been 2 years without one!)

What I’m looking for in a roommate: Male or female is fine. I’ve lived with 2 guys for the last 2 years. I just ask that you’re clean, respectful of noise within reasonable limits and have some of the same general interests of mine. I’d like to create a great living situation together. Community is important to me so just a body to fill a room doesn’t work with me. I’ve gotten really close with my current roommates (met them on Craig’s List) and consider them to be good friends. We don’t need to be best friends but having a great place to call home and being comfortable around one another is important to me.

So, if you’ve even read this far, awesome. Maybe that means we have some things in common. Shoot an email if you’d like to connect further and talk about a great place to live.

Cheers,
Lindsey

<div>Friends,

So I've been casually looking for a place to live for awhile but push has come to shove and I just got notice that my housemates are going to move out. This has definitely moved up the house hunting to number one on my priority list. So, if you happen to know of any great studios, one bedrooms or cool roommate situations please do let me know. I'm looking for something in the East Bay (Berkeley-Oakland area) for around the first of October. Unfortunately I'm not loaded (gotta love the student budget) so I can't pay something outrageous, but I also understand that this is the Bay Area, and I do want a cool place.

Give a shout if you know of anything.

Blessings,

<div>Hello Beautiful People,

Many of you may know that I am half way through my 720-hour massage therapy program at the National Holistic Institute. It has been an amazing transition for me over the last four months to practice doing something I love for work. Thanks to those of you who have allowed me to work on you and to those who have referred me to others. I hope to be in touch with you soon and to connect with new clients as well.

If you are interested in receiving body work and are/will be in the Bay Area, I have been trained in the following modalities and am eager to practice!
•	Shiatsu - Japanese style massage focusing on pressure points and stretches
•	Thai – Vigorous and energizing massage often described as “yoga massage”
•	Myo-fascial therapy – Based on client assessment of posture and range of motion in joints, MFT targets specific muscle groups. Good for persons experiencing chronic knee, wrist, shoulder, neck and ankle pain.
•	Hydrofriction Therapy – Uses salt scrubs to exfoliate the skin. Is generally combined with massage.

My pricing through September is as follows:

$45 – 60 minutes
$65 – 90 minutes
$85 – 120 minutes

*Add $10 to $20 for out calls depending on time/distance from Oakland.
*Add $10 for hydrofriction therapy.

Blessings and I hope we can be in touch soon,

<div>Hi Friends,

Unfortunatley our house was broken into yesterday. Whoever it was made off with lots of laptops, digital cameras, ipods and an assortment of other items. Fortunately we have renters insurance. I would be so SOL without it. Depending on who you go through it's only like $24/month which covers around $25,000 worth of stolen items. I highly recommend it - especially if you live in the city!

<div>Dude, I'm SO excited! Many of you know I quit my full time job back in December and have spent the last few months taking life a bit slower. I took 3 weeks to cruise around Baja, California and the northwestern part of Mainland Mexico. Since my return I have been juggling several part time jobs doing sales and marketing for organic and natural products.

But the most exciting news is.....(insert drum roll here).... I've decided to put myself through massage school! I just registered for classes at the National Holistic Institute in Emeryville and will begin my 10 month 720-hour intensive program April 17th. I get to be a student again attending classes Monday through Friday for 4 hours a day. One of the coolest things is that school is only a short bike ride away from home.

And tomorrow a couple of friends and I take off for a 4-day bike ride from Oakland to Paso Robles! We'll be stopping overnight in Santa Cruz, Monterey, Cambria and then catching the train back to Emeryville in Paso Robles. I think we'll pedal somewhere close to 250 miles. Fun fun fun!

Love you all!

<div>My Lovely Loved Ones,

Just like Christmas, Valentine's Day has become another one of those commercialized, consumer, Hallmark holidays. It seems it is no longer about sharing LOVE, but about buying STUFF and chocolate and roses and sexy underwear and other things society tells us we need to buy for our sweetie. I still think chocolate and roses and sexy underwear are nice, but rather than looking at Valentine's day as a material holiday exclusively for couples, why not look at it as an opportunity to appreciate ALL of your loved ones?

So with that in mind, Happy Valentine's Day to you all whether you are in or out of a relationship. You are all AMAZING, BEAUTIFUL people and I really wanted to let you know I'm so very thankful to have you in my life! May your day be filled with LOVE LOVE LOVE of the best kind - love that comes from within - for that is the love that when emanated brightly will bounce right on back to you; and you deserve it.

I LOVE YOU ALL!

<div>and so i learn as i move through the painful and joyful moments of life how important it is to BE REAL. to be TRUE TO YOURSELF. i have had quite a lesson in that this week as a series of serendipitous events have all showed me how much i am clinging to old things i have never fully expressed my anger about. and so it is that i learn HOW IMPORTANT it is to HONOR YOURSELF - to stand in your truth even though that might mean telling someone something you think they might not want to hear. believe me, it's better to bring things to the surface and deal with them when they first arise than to shove them deep within, only to let them fester. may we all be strong enough to move through life loving ourselves and standing up for what's true for us.

love and blessings to all of you beautiful people</div>

<div>So I've gone and done it...I've taken a huge leap. On Monday I told my boss that I will be leaving the organization in mid-December. This is a big step for me - a necessary and exciting yet scary step. I do not have another full time job lined up yet. That is perhaps the scary part. But I have to trust that something will come along and that this is exactly where I need to be in my life. This whole process of quitting my job has been a huge reminder that life is too short to work a job you are unhappy with. We all have the power to create what we want in our lives (although sometimes this is so hard for me to see) and so it is with strong legs that I jump into the unknown....knowing that something will fall into place, knowing that the perfect and right situation is awaiting me. All I need to do is open my eyes and see it....</div>

Just wanted to throw this one out to the universe...

My lease will be coming up at the end of October and I am interested in moving into a safer neighborhood in the Berkeley/Oakland area with some stellar people. Ideally I will find 2 other clean, positive, active, conscious, drama-free folks (maybe I can convince my current housemate to come with, he's great!) to share a house and a yard with. I am willing to pay double rent for a month or two if the right situation presents itself.

So...if you know of any wonderful people looking for a super great roommate, or if you know of a fine place to call home ,send me a shout!

<div>I feel so alive. Fueled and nourished not by sleep or food, but by music, generosity, community, dancing, LOVE... I feel so blessed to have had the rich High Sierra music experience. And I hold onto that experience as I return home and try to figure how to integrate more of that wholesome goodness into my life.

My “real life” feels so foreign. Some boring façade of me that prevents my true expression of love I have to give to the world. I must break out of my self-constructed box…but I see the walls slowly beginning to crumble and a fire has been ignited. I want to integrate these two lives I have that seem so separate. I want life to be a festival. I want to celebrate every day. I want to love every day. I want to wear glitter and dance around naked like a little girl with my hula-hoop every day. I want to smell the flowers of love... to feel the summer sunshine on my skin. I want to love everything and everyone…to give back.

I have so much to love to share with the world. My heart is swollen with it as I write and tears of joy run down my cheeks. So much has been given to me; I am so blessed… love is spiraling above my head and rushing back down through my body filling it with love, energy, inspiration. It is time for me to serve this beautiful world with that same energy. It is time for me to open my heart and my world so that I can give healing love to all who come into my life.

So as I dance around my house alone today holding the spirit and love of High Sierra deep in my heart, I am so grateful to all of you who have touched my heart and who have fueled me with your love and inspiration. I hope some day soon I can thank you by sharing my love with you…

<div>RULES - Once you've been tagged, you have to write a blog with 8 facts/things/habits about yourself, saying who tagged you. In the end you need to choose 6 people to be tagged and list their names. No tag backs.

I was tagged by Greg Yost - The only man who has a T-shirt dedicated to hugging him! Hmmm.....Guess I'm it, but not for long....8 facts about me eh? Here, try these out.

1. I was born on Christmas day. The nurses brought me to my mom and dad in a red and white striped stocking.

2. Hablo espanol

3. Attempted one of the world's 7 summits. Aconcagua in Argentina ( 22,841 ft!). Although I only made it to about 18,000 ft.

4. I've got one older sister who looks really similar to me. Some people think we're twins.

5. I drink a lot of tea (especially Yerba Mate) and love salad.

6. I ran a marathon a few years ago in 4 hours and 14 minutes. Not bad for the first one, eh?

7. I'm taking a beginning hula hoop class this week.

8. My parent's live in a straw bale house in Redding.

Transitional Spring Time

<div>Hello Fellow Lovely People,

Ah...the sun is shining (at least for today!) and spring is in the air. With the change of seasons - especially one that invites new growth - I find myself in an appropriate transitional time in my life. I want to make a career change. Understanding the power behind setting intentions, my hope is that this note will let the universe and all of you lovelies know that I am open to this change and that I'll begin to see and step into new opportunities. Exciting!

Realizing that my current job is not providing the level of inspiration and light that I need in my life right now, I wanted to ask you all if you might be able to shed some light on any potential job opportunities. I envision myself working for at least another year so that I can be in a better financial situation for when I decide to go back to school.

What I'm looking for: I want to make the shift from working in the non-profit environmental field to holistic health. I want to help people in this world be healthier - physically, emotionally, spiritually...you name it, it's all connected. Realizing the many types of health-related jobs, I am in exploration mode right now and want to find what fits me best before I just invest time and money into the first thing I see. Through this exploration and a with a new, more-related job, I hope to find more exposure to people who are in this field and learn from them. Whether this new job has me doing sales at an organic food company, promoting health through food, fitness, yoga, massage, acupuncture, herbal medicine or other conscious activities, I am open to something new, energetic and inspirational. Or maybe this job is none of the above but puts me working with conscious, positive people...I'm open to that too. I would prefer to stay in the Bay Area, but if the right opportunity is somewhere else, then so it is.

So, if I could ask all of you to pass any job leads my way, or forward this email to your friends who already work in this field, I would be forever grateful.

I hope this finds all of you well and loving life.

Blessings and many thanks!</div>

Sensory bliss

<div>Well am I ever on a high - STILL - from last night's Butter Monsoon show at the Fillmore. Totally off the hook! This was definitely the best show I have ever EVER seen them play!

Music moving me, shaking my body. I am not in control.
Invaded and elated by the rich sounds of 12 amazingly talented beings on stage playing in harmony.
My cheeks hurt from smiling so much - not from any kind of drug-induced state, but from feeding off the exhilarated energy of the bands.
The perpetual giving and receiving of energy back and forth...
...Back and forth...
...Back and forth
Until there is no distinguishing between giving and receiving - just one united bliss of the band playing off the crowd's energy and the crowd playing off the band's energy.
HIGH!
This music has taken me to another place of presentness.
Nothing else is around me... music is all that there is.
I am in the present moment feeling and loving every second as if it were my last.
I am reminded of what it means to love life, love music, love people - everyone.
I am in a sensory bliss.

I'm wearing an old shirt of yours...

<div>Missy,

I'm wearing an old shirt of yours. This old shirt is how we met. Coming together to celebrate through a mutual friend. And then I found you again through another good friend of mine. We didn't know we'd see each other, but I happened to be wearing your old shirt that day. Just another serendipidous surprise. You were obviously brought into my life during the last months of yours to teach me something - to share your bright contagious smile, to shine your rays of enthusiasm onto everyone around you - including me. I feel so incredibly blessed to have spent the time that I did with you. You are such an amazing reminder for how to live in fullness - for how to live in love an celebration.

Thank you for blessing my life,
Love, hugs and kisses,
