Bio
BreakBeatBuddha (a.k.a. Anthony Traynor) has been producing and performing for 15 years. His DJ sets are a blend of Hip Hop, Break Beat and Drum n’ Bass to which he adds live conscious lyricism which challenges the dance floor and politicizes the party.
He sees his music as both a calling, to those who are involved in the struggle and as an answer to our spiritual needs; to dissolve the illusion of separateness and to rediscover our collective body.
He has been creating waves on the West Coast of the United States now for some time and is constantly touring throughout the country connecting cultural resisters every where to promote social change through creativity.
There is an urgency and a strength to his music which summons us to be as powerful as we can be, to be fully alive.

Mad Professor

Born in Guyana, South America, Neil Fraser was nicknamed Mad Professor by school friends because of his interest in electronics. It was this same interest that helped him to start his own recording studio, by first building his own mixer, echo and effects machines. It is no surprise that this interest coupled with his love for Motown, Philadelphia, Treasure Island and music of all types have propelled him into the artist that he is today. As United Kingdoms most formidable reggae producer and dub mix master, Mad Professor's genius lies in his ability to use computers and modern techniques, to produce dub tracks that sound and feel like roots and culture. Always an innovator in an ever growing genre.
Creating and mixing music performed on stage by a rotating roster of musicians and singers, Mad Professor continues to blow away audiences worldwide with his live dub performances. Mad Professor continues to gain momentum globally, touring South America, North America, Japan, Africa, and Europe, including Moscow's first dub show playing to an audience of 6,000. On top of a heavy touring schedule Mad Professor has and continues to work major labels such as Sony Music, EMI, Arista, Warner Brothers, Capital Record, and Virgin Records.
Kraddy and RD Friday April 4th in Nelson!!!

ABOUT KRADDY:
Known for his intuitive ability to carve beats and sounds out of the bits, Kraddy has made a name for himself from New York to California as a producer and a DJ. He has releases on Bless Records, Muti Music, Digital Distortions, Blunted Funk and has just released his second album The Illegal Album on his own label Refiner Records.
Kraddy's music implicates cybernetic breaks with asymmetrical dub delays and hip hop grooves with dark ethereal melodies. At times his music is technical and frenetic and calls to mind images of genetically mutated earthworms, poping and locking deep underground to sub atomic frequencies, causing minute shifts in the structure and alignment of the tectonic plates, that over millennia will alter the magnetic core of the planet and thus change its frequency field steering its evolution towards greater harmony and a more peaceful form. Other times he weaves together webs of moody etheresque clouds akin to the sounds of alternate life forces manipulating hydrogen and carbon molecules into biomechanical nanobots that imperceptibly permeate the neuronets of sleeping subjects from light years away in a methodical attempt to preserve and record the neural, synaptic and chemical makeup of all matter.
ABOUT RD:
Newest Album:
Archive' is a collection of unreleased tracks produced by RD at the turn of the 21'st Century, when IDM dominated, un-influenced by indie hipsters yet filled to-the-brim with socially inept chin-scratchers. This release is an homage to that once-blissful electronic past, when Intelligent Dance Music superstars graced magazine covers and a world-wide urban nerd movement gave birth to laptop music.
Aside from burning nostalgia, let 'Archive' be your personal reminder that although the human mind is capable of vast intelligence, it will never outsmart music.

TICKETS AVAILABLE @ EDDY MUSIC $10
About BLVD and Souleye:
A spontaneous collaboration has led to a full-time partnership between four young emerging artists, as Colorado-based MC Souleye joins instrumental San Francisco trio BLVD on the road and in the studio. Consistent West Coast touring has brought this collaboration to the vanguard of the live electronica movement and continues to break down boundaries between dance club culture and the live music community. The synthesis of these two scenes is at the heart of BLVD's primary focus since the band's inception in 2003. BLVD's live interpretations of what are generally considered to be electronic musical forms blend naturally with MC Souleye's conscious and rhythmic approach to rapping. Together they create a dynamic sound with broad appeal.

UBERZONE:
"I love the concept of the man-machine writing process, but one thing I realized while making this record is that there's a spirituality in human collaboration. As much as I enjoy working in the studio alone, having another input helps bring out new ideas... Speaking in terms of lateral thinking, it helped burn a few new neural pathways." Q
Uberzone is the brainchild of southern California native Q (named after the "gizmo" -loving James Bond character). Like his namesake, Q is a die-hard collector of all things electronic, and has been collecting electronic-music gear since his early teens.
His early singles, "Botz" and "The Freaks", released on taste-maker indie dance label City of Angels, were critically acclaimed club tracks that established Q as one of the leading American producers of breakbeat music. These singles were charted consistently by DJs like Florida's DJ Icey and the UK's Adam Freeland, among others. His remixes of Sarah McLachlan, The Crystal Method and BT also established him as one of the biggest names in the American dance scene. Spin Magazine named Uberzone as one of the six producers to create "the biggest beats ever."
Q does have Faith in the Future. "Sometime during my life I turned from a pessimist into an optimist. Faith in the Future ties into technology, electronic music and my lasting desire to live in the Jetson Age." Perhaps that's why Uberzone's debut album, "Faith in the Future" has a feeling to it unlike any other electronic album. It recalls influences from quirky sci-fantasy film soundtracks to "Planet Rock" to dream-pop to the energetic, future breaks that Uberzone has created in ways no one else can approach.

August 31, 2005
she drips sweet sound in to these mountains...
her installations and tribal infusions keep us in tune, in time.
her quiet beauty wakes us up and opens the gate to the potential of now.
bridging gaps with light beams and crystal constellations she spins...oh how she spins...
nameste sweet sista star,
nameste.
beware the Lioness...
