My Photo

Autumn is my favorite time of the year. The air is crisp and fresh and the colors are so very vibrant. Seems life should be just as crisp and fresh and vibrant.

about me
New to the belly dancing world, been dancing in a class once a week for now 2 yrs. I have taken 3 workshops so far, I will attempt to learn what I can. Not so sure I really want to perform, it does look fun and exciting, but for now I think I like just learning the moves and techniques. Not much activity as yet... but very enthusiastic. Looking for the right look with hair and makeup and costume... any ideas?

My Blog

I have read much within the Tribe.net and found that yoga and belly dancing are the way to start the day.... so I tried it and now I am hooked.
I wake up and get my day started by doing 20 minutes of Sera's workout and 30 minutes of Darshan's workout. Next I will add some drills and technique so I can ready myself for putting together something. That something is yet to be thought of.....

Let it ferment and season you

or even divine ingredients can.

Something missing in my heart tonight~
has made my eyes so soft... My voice~
So tender,

My need of God
Absolutely

Just recently started Belly Dancing and tonight I went to my first Hafla. What an adventure. My husband even joined my which surprised me, but I was very excited.
All kinds of belly dance styles were shown, I think I am most interested in the Tribal Style. For the makeup, the hair, the costume choice, and the music. All in all tribal style seems to be what I am most drawn to.
I look forward to many, many more nights of belly dancing fun.

My Recent Activity

Re: Best Belly Dance Fitness DVDs (in Weight Loss for Belly Dancers) east coast tribal with Sera and tribal fusion with Darshan are my very favorite. The music is very different and keeps you going. You try to keep up with the beat in Darshan's DVD. Especially with the music when she is doing the rib/chest isola... read more

Re: Curves (in Weight Loss for Belly Dancers) I have used Curves and it is ok if you like the cookie cutter type workout. You go around in a circle following those in front of you, their main target is cardio, and do a set of whatever the machine is... they music tells you when to change are... read more

Re: So excited! (in Kami Liddle) Kami is fabulous. She is the first workshop I have ever taken and I must say she broke down all her movements. Love her style and her technique. I am a beginner as well and must say if I had a choice in who to take a workshop from first I think... read more

Re: Shimmy on Fit TV (in Bellydance Drills and Choreography) I have to agree with you Niki... the break down of the moves is very important. Like you I am very new to the belly dance world. I am going into my second year of classes, I have attended 3 workshops. However, I have not done any performances, ... read more

Re: REQUEST: Mardi Love Workshop (in Bellydance Reviews) I just attended a two day 4 hrs each day workshop of Mardi Love's this past weekend. FABULOUS!!! I highly recommend taking her workshop if you get the opportunity. She breaks down everything, even in the warm up. You will not regret attending ... read more
