Lotus is love. I could stop right there and it would say what I mean fairly well, but I'll expand a little more. Being in the presence of Lotus is like being bathed in warm sunlight, like sitting by a tranquil river and letting the water gently lap at your toes. She's compassionate and kind without being cloying, her sweetness is well balanced by spice, by a healthy sense of mischief. Someone I love dearly, a soul sister.

Lotus is an appropriate title for this woman. Below are some variations from different cultures as to why:
"The lotuses of heaven can change according to people's wishes, flowering when needed. In this way they bring joy to the hearts of all. " "When the white lotus descends to this world, it changes everyone's life for the better" If you want to look into the eyes of absolute acceptance, purity and kindness, then take a moment to sit with her. Thank you for your warm, cooling, lunar heart presence, soft moonlight kindness, your bright silver radiant eyes, oh great bliss (mahasukka) wisdom sky dancer (janadakini)!
Well met, (and so timeless), yes, yes yes; deep and wide is the gratitude. Hear (here) ye all! Look forward to mutual discoveries and continuing explorations, deeper descents, higher ascents, into wisdoms, magics, healings and bliss to come, in the co created expanded circles Lotus and co. are dancing in! Ah La La Ho! July 8, 2005
Lotus is such a perfect name for this wonderful woman and close friend. She was at the birth of my son and it is very possible he might not have lived if she had not been there and I am profoundly grateful for that. In the many years that I have known Lotus she has steadfastedly pursued her spiritual growth. Such a great example of that. She is a great friend and so much fun to be around! I appreciate the way she and Lenya have generously opened up their house to weekend long parties that have really helped to bring our community together. I look forward to having many more adventures with her!

My acquaintance with Lotus is too short for my testimonial to be truly meaningful, but what I can say about her and Lenya is simply this - they met a random stranger out of his element, and made him instantly feel at home and welcome in their domain. What this says about their kindness, their warmth, and the generosity of their spirits is for you, the reader, to decide, but I am grateful and look forward to knowing them better.

I am having surgery on my back on Friday at 7:30 am (Brigham and Womens Hospital). I would very much appreciate good thought sent my way. Thank you!

For various and sundry reasons, we have lost every house we bid on. Apparently, the universe is telling us that right now is not the time to buy. Anyway...it may have been for the best, for we have now found a sweet little place on Tower St. in JP!! We just got the keys this morning and we'll soon be moving in WHOO HOO!

I first went to Rites of Sprig eight years ago, when Athena had just turned seven. We found a community that created a "village" in which all children were safe and cared for. For the first time, I felt I could let Athena be free to wander about and play with new friends. I knew everyone in the community was watching out for the young ones. I also learned that the community held a Rite of Passage for it's teens. As children grew older and took on more responsibility, they were initiated into ...

I'm leaving the German Center to start at Hebrew Rehab this week...how funny is that? I'm very excited. Hebrew Rehab is right next to the Arboretum...which means I can literally walk to work. They have promised to train me in lymphedema management (which means I'll be able to treat people with swelling) and I'll be shadowing a hand therapist. It'll be a lot more "rehab" oriented which is what I had in mind when I went into occupational therapy. Anyway...I start tomorrow. Wish me luck!
