I married my high school sweet heart, John, two years after high school. A Year later We welcomed our beautiful daughter Ashlin to the world. SHE'S FOUR NOW!!! CRAZY!
I began belly dancing in August 2006 and have been studying with Shoshanna, in Arcata CA, ever since.
I am Currently a member of the Dance Troupe RAKS AMAR.

I've been thinking... and this is like a year or more into the future, when I have bills paid off, and my car is fixed, and I have money again, and I'm done with CR, ect....
Anyway, I've been thinking about training with a new dance teacher, once a week, in the Bay Area... drive down Saturday mornings, and back home in the afternoon.
I'm not sure who yet, and I didn't mention it to my husband, though he thinks I should really pursue dance if it will make me happy...

Belly Dance Magazine sponsored an amateur dance contest the Mendocino Music and Dance Camp this year. My Teacher Shoshanna is very persuasive and convinced me to enter, even though I had never performed solo in my whole life. All went well, I dance to a song I had never heard before, and it was improvisation because of that. Needless to say I didn't actually win anything... Well, I went to camp for an entire week. It was painful, and hard, and tiring but it was the most incredible experience of my life! I met so many incredibly talented people, and nice people, and even some famous people.
Karim, Souhail, and Georges Lammam were the most down to earth people. They imparted important information that will stay with me for my entire life. I feel that I now have the tools to dance to anything. And I finally can play finger cymbals. I've got skills that I've alway...

I haven't been posting, or visiting here at all. I sort of feel left out because I got laid off in June, so I haven't been dancing, and I feel like an outsider on here because of that. Also, a large number of my troupe mates tried out for our directors professional troupe and are now gone, so she disbanded our amateur troupe. While I don't have the time or money to pay for classes and troupe costs at this moment, i still really miss it.

Well, it has been a very long time since I posted a blog.
Good News, I did get asked to Join Raks Amar! I've been a member since October now.We are currently working on a sword piece that we will perform on Saturday, Jan. 26th. In the same show as ZOE JAKES!!!
Thats right lovely peoples, we are actually going to be in the same show, the same room! I'm am soooo thrilled! Also in this amazing show is Mira Betz and Elizabeth strong. All AWESOME dancers!!
