A Snapshot of One Day
(blog entry)
It's 4:15 am, I am comforted when I pass the rattling old toyota van that I pass everyday. The gears on my bicycle rattle back at him.
I call my stepmom to answer some of her questions about buying organic dates in bulk from my work for my c...

When I travel to the moon planet
painted on my wall
my eyes dance
like the orange and brown petal pictures
surfacing now in my skin
If I could soak my nails
in this electric breath
I would spider up your spine
into your ribc...

about me
I'm the leafblower in the zen garden, wearing foxgloves to the opera.

I call my stepmom to answer some of her questions about buying organic dates in bulk from my work for my cousin's wedding to an Algerian man in August. She says she has to call me back. She is at the graveyard with my aunt. They have just sat down to discuss which plaque to put on the niche for my father's ashes. He is sitting at home, alone with his...

fold it like a cube
I put my walnut shell heart inside

blooming aluminum armor

That's twice today.
Not counting the early am that was from last night, listening to my oldest brother talk about his great fortune and terrible losses and new career with the military and the most inspiring shrapnel-laden 24-yea...

Hello Beasties. It's that Halloween night, just past the witching hour, or so they think.
Halloween was mostly missing from work today. Besides someone pointing out that it was strange to see me dressed in black, and my trainer dolled up as an absolutely perfect Jem!, no one had the energy for it. Maybe a few were rushing home to get their kids ready.
At night, after a series of disconcerting texts from the Joshua tree celebration, I biked through San Francisco towards the train home...
