"When my son, Jack, was four, I had to make a trip to Los Angeles. I asked him if he was going to miss me. 'Not so much,' Jack told me. 'You're not going to miss me?' I said. Jack shook his head, and he said, 'Love means you can never be apart.' I think that's the basis on which this story was built, and I suppose that it revolves around a belief that nothing is more important in life than giving and receiving love. At least, that has been my experience." -James Patterson, dedication at the beginning of "Sundays at Tiffany's"

First time ever I cooked a real Thanksgiving dinner. Bitter sweet because nobody ate it. I hope everyone enjoyed their day with loved ones.

This true story of a Texas death row inmate is so very sad. It took me awhile to read it, but it was worth it in the end. What kind of man would ever hit a woman? What kind of person would want to hurt another being at all? The article makes him out to be an intelligent and thoughtful person. Was he really like that or was the author just trying to make a point based on what they wanted to believe?
"Whatever you give a woman, she will make greater. If you give her sperm, she'll give you a baby. If you give her a house, she'll give you a home. If you give her groceries, she'll give you a meal. I...f you give her a smile, she'll give you her heart. She multiplies and enlarges what is given to her. So, if you give her any crap, be ready to receive a ton of shit."
