I made it to one of the last shows of this play this afternoon.... very intense very intense. all i can say is that it is important. it is literature that has become cultural commentary.

i left with a lump in my throat and i think the performance was good although oddly enough i felt the second half was almost light compared to the first ... the performances were, that is. as they players got closer to us, the audience, their impact became less powerful.

someone needs to make a 1984 tv series or something.. hahahahhahahah

The Actors' Gang's critically acclaimed production of George Orwell's 1984 returns to Los Angeles as part of an extensive international tour that has traveled to cities across the U.S. and to Hong Kong, Melbourne and Athens. Directed by Academy Award-winning actor and Actors' Gang artistic director Tim Robbins, 1984 tells of a world where people fear that their opinions cannot be expressed freely, where citizens are monitored at the government's discretion, where leaders are not held accountable for their deceptions, and where perpetual war is waged against an unseen enemy.
Adapted by Michael Gene Sullivan from the novel by George Orwell
Directed by Tim Robbins
