Before Burning Man, I knew there was a major transit coming up in my chart from a reading I'd received earlier in the year from Greg.... I asked him to do a reading about it, and he refused. I asked Lola to do it, and we arranged a trade for one of my massages for a reading by her. It worked out perfectly. Thanks, Lola! It was great reconnecting with you on a deeper level than we get at social gatherings....
Here are my notes from her reading:
MAJOR CHANGE
Lover - accomodating, peacemaker - Libra
Neptune in first house:
- visionary
- intuitive
- sensitive
- effecting the sun
- started 4 years ago, culminating this year
- trust instincts
Feminine planets:
- Moon in Taurus
- - Tantric - 7th House
- - In the body
- - Understanding women
- Venus in Capricorn
- - Resilient
- - Bounce back quickly
Mystic Rectangle:
Mars - Pluto - Neptune - Moon
- Mars/Pluto opposition
- Neptune/Moon opposition
Look out for cycles of 7 years: 2006 1999 1992 1985
Opposition:
- South Node Libra - many past lives as caretaker
- North Node Aries - moving towards future, masculine / warrior spirit - put SELF first
August/September (during the Burn)
- Saturn oppose Neptune
- 31 August to Mid September
- Vision quest
- Seeding period for business
And the Tarot Reading was a standard Celtic Cross layout, with the cards coming in this order:
8 Wands - the primary influence or issue at hand is: getting caught up in change/transformation - putting ideas into action
6 Wands - opposing the primary influence is: arrogance, pride, or great acclaim, being in the spotlight
Art - the unconscious influence is: a need for balance, creativity, joining of forces
Queen Cups - the influence from the past is: loving and open hearted and guided by those
10 Cups - the conscious influence, or what I think will happen is: powerful love, harmony and good fortune
3 Swords - the approaching influence, or something in the future is: potential disillsionment with something, but this is opposed by the 10 of cups, so weakened
7 Discs - the self-influence, or how I see myself is: a rapid and sudden change in direction or focus, radical transformation
Magus - the outer influence, or how others see me is: unafraid, acting consciously, powerful, using all energies at once, on my higher purpose
7 Wands - the hope/fear influence is: warrior sprit (hope), fighting with authority figures (fear)
Tower - the overall outcome is: major sudden change and transformation - opposed by Art, 10 Cups, and 6 Wands, probably meaning that through the chaos, I remain calm, collected, my wits about me, and am acknowledged for it
I'll let you decide if her "pre Burning Man" reading was accurate, based on my Burning Man blog entry....
Other stuff has shown up since my return that falls right in line with many of these cards.
It has been an interesting time, Lola Babalon. It has indeed. Much love to you, Goddess! xoxoxo

I'd like to share this about Lola, and her radiant, loving way of being present. We were recently dancing to a local Topanga band on a Saturday night in the midst of a boisterous, diverse group. The music was truly so good it took me very deep and I wanted to close my eyes. Even though it was a bar scene and not necessarily a trance-safe environment, with Lola dancing nearby I felt totally comfortable planting my feet and closing my eyes. Lola moves in the world in such a way that mishaps and unkindness just fade from her light/lightheartedness. She embodies harmonious observance. She often renders words completely unnecessary, so deep is her sensing, so full is her being-ness. I am blessed to know her.

Lola is one of the most remarkable spiritual figures I have ever met.
The work I did with her left me so completely changed that I can't really even say I am the same "Me"!
The transition she helped me through has brought me more confidence, happiness, and a connection to Source beyond what the old me ever imagined possible!
I highly commend her work, and recommend her as a healer, teacher, and sage.

Lola is a passionate and powerful woman. She's a gifted visionary and a truly giving person. I've had the honor of hanging out with Lola conversing about so many interesting things: metaphysics, philosophy, her life in Germany, her life in Topanga. She's a ray of light in the world, and I'm glad I know her.

Lola is a really interesting and sweet lady. She is very knowledgable about so many things and her posts are great. I bet in person she is like the mysterious psychic lady who is calm and makes you feel at home.

At the fall equinox the year starts to coil in on itself. The days get ever shorter and the nights stretch out to maximum length. With the diminishing of light comes are certain seriousness. The kids enter school again, grown-ups focus on the plans ahead, there is a collective move toward completion.

Here is a look at this summer’s planetary line-up, which casts a pretty vivid picture. If the astrological weather this spring has been turbulent, then summer looks like it’s not going to slow down one bit either. We are heading into another eclipse cycle, as happens twice a year. It tends comes with rocky emotions and a high level of drama. Or, as we used to say, when I worked for the Psychic Eye Book Shop, a.k.a. the Psychic Sweat Shop: “Somebody is going to be ...

As the year draws to a close, and the world markets are in turmoil, there is a rollercoaster of change going on, that’s challenging the status quo. Some of these changes are subtle, others more obvious, in your face.
In these trying times it helps to cultivate patience, perseverance, stay in the moment and deal with what is. Who would have thought that the currencies, stock indexes and oil prices could fluctuate like that? Less than six month ago we were paying $5.- per gallon gasoline. ...

The planets and their cycles deeply influence the collective minds and interactions. This influence can be rather subtle, and occasionally it’s not so subtle at all, but right in your face. While there are numerous systems, tools and techniques to the art of astrology, they all seem to work somehow, once you start paying attention to them.
So, try this one on for size:
Libra, the charmers of the Zodiac
Pleasant, easy going, well dressed and ultra cooperative, these folks are good at...

Fasten your seatbelts everyone, as the current astrological weather indicates some lively times ahead. Here is a look at what the planets are up to this month:
There is a team of players in the fairness minded sign of Libra: Mercury, Venus and Mars, are all squared off to Jupiter in righteous Capricorn. What could this imply? General tension, and an appeal to humanitarian, educational causes. It is an action oriented time. Tackle whatever needs to be done, there is no use to procrasti...
