A Slice of Heaven - November 2008
Mon, November 3, 2008 - 7:49 AMIn these trying times it helps to cultivate patience, perseverance, stay in the moment and deal with what is. Who would have thought that the currencies, stock indexes and oil prices could fluctuate like that? Less than six month ago we were paying $5.- per gallon gasoline. However: What goes up must come down. And: “Nothing fails like success“. (quote from Osho)
This unified, global happening brings up the core values of what makes life worth living. Love, support, nurturing each other, protecting the children, nature, enjoying each moment of each day. Cultivate gratitude for this experience here and now, give thanks for this opportunity to go along for the ride. Use your awareness, and don’t resisting anything.
So, lets do look at the bright side, simplify, make good use of resources, and cultivate friendships as the best of assets.
Scorpio - the tough cookies of the Zodiac
The pervasiveness of autumn growing cooler and darker, and the ghoulish holidays of Halloween and All Saints Day fall into the sign of Scorpio. It’s a resilient sign, that’s represented by powerful animals: the eagle, the snake and the scorpion.
It’s also associated with the mythical phoenix rising from the ashes. Those born under the sign are able to transmute the most challenging experiences. There is a sultry sex appeal that comes with a keen interest in metaphysical matters, and an ability to look straight into the core of things. Can be secretive, behind the scenes. Do not make them mad, as you will likely regret it. Intensely emotional and passionate, a Scorpio is a ‘force majeure’ to behold.
Congratulations to the famous, feisty Topanga Scorpio’s:
Aaron Hendry, Antonia Bath & husband Michael, Janice Harmon, Bo Tasker, Lacey Brooks, Eric De Cook, Jane Marla Robbins, Heidi Light, Jed Levy, Jackie Kane, Kevin Kerber, Olaf Hartmann, Randy Harrison, Daryl Vance, Barry Newton, Ami Kirby and for all others not mentioned here.
Cheers and happy birthday one and all. May it be a most excellent year on all levels!
Calendar
Nov 1
All Saints Day Neptune SD
Today the doors between ordinary and non-ordinary reality are wide open. It is customary to honor and celebrate ones ancestors. The ceremony can be as simple as lighting a candle, a prayer, a bit of food left outside, an altar with candy and some photos. Or as elaborate as the Catholic ceremony, or Dia Del Los Muertos camp outs at the graveyard.
Nov 3
Venus square Saturn, square Uranus. Mars square Neptune
This adds plenty of tension leading up to election day. Much potential for confusion, loss of focus or direction.
Nov 4
Election day
Saturn opposes Uranus, Mercury enters Scorpio
Emphasizes the predictable tension between the tried and true conservative set, and the innovators who promise or endeavor to change everything. The Saturn/ Uranus aspect is in effect for the next two years. It indicates a major de-conditioning of social and economic systems, similar to the revolutionary movements in the early 30ties and mid 60ties.
Nov 10
Sun sextile Jupiter, trine Uranus
A fine time for peace making efforts, as it brings inspiration, cooperation and out of the blue solutions. Look out for Aha! moments.
Nov 11
Sun sextile Saturn, Venus conjunct Pluto
The first aspect is good for business meetings and establishing agreement. The next makes for tense situations and now or never type of ultimatums. Remember, there is no need to push the river today, as there is always tomorrow.
Nov 12, 10:17 pm
Full Moon 21* Taurus
Venus enters Capricorn, Jupiter sextile Uranus
This should be good news for business, or break through solutions on the global financial front. A fine time to support progress and take on some new strategies.
Nov 13
Sun square Neptune
Be on the lookout for mental overload or fuzziness. May bring up tension between action oriented doers and evasive, non committal procrastinators.
Nov 15
Mercury trine Uranus
This facilitates inventive, highly creative and unconventional ideas. Carry a notepad or voice recorder to capture any flashes of inspiration.
Nov 16
Mars enters Sagittarius, Mercury sextile Jupiter, sextile Uranus
A high energy day where you can tackle big projects and get a lot done. Think big picture, and outside the box. Be bold and adventuresome.
Nov 17
Mercury square Neptune
May trigger misunderstandings and the occasional reality check. So make sure to get your details right.
Nov 21
Sun enters Sagittarius
Comes with the refreshing realization that radical honesty rules, at least it‘s getting results. Also encourages you to get out of doors, to have more freedom to roam. More about the happy-go-lucky centaurs of the Zodiac in the next issue.
Nov 22
Mercury enters Sagittarius
The trickster of the planets adds more mischief to the mix. Look out for free spirits and expanding horizons all the way around.
Nov 25
Sun conjunct Mercury
This makes for mental tension during the pre-holiday season. Expect restless, antsy party guests.
Nov 26
Pluto enters Capricorn for good.
This aspect will trigger major changes in the way business is being done. Go for quality over quantity, many eggs in many baskets. Shift happens!
Nov 27
New Moon 6* Sagittarius
Uranus SD
Thanksgiving Day comes with a tender, introverted mood and much desire to break out of ruts. Enjoy! www.gogratitude.com
Nov 28
Venus sextile Uranus, Mercury conjunct Mars
Today expect the unexpected. So look out and pay attention to daring, competitive behavior.
Nov 29
Venus sextile Saturn
Good for business and money matters, as it enables you to talk about everything. At the least feel encouraged to give it a try, get your words out.
