Lately its been happening again, something… some sound, some noise, some feeling, a bad energy, reading someones negative energy, a bad aura… something triggers my nightmare… When I was 12 I started having this re-occurring nightmare, and can see it when I close my eyes, The feeling I feel in my heart, in the pit of my stomach, the bottom of my lungs, Everything in me tightens up and my skin crawls… I am on a swing set on the top of a very very steep hill, one of those A frame swing sets with a single swing with a two thick ropes and a wooden seat, I am swinging very innocently, as I swing it makes this squeaking noise, then I feel this rush and there are clouds, Dark gloomy storm clouds surrounding the swing set with this loud noise this Rumbling like thunder in my ears, The feeling that takes over my soul, takes my innocence, belittles me, so loud I cant yell for help, like when your running from something and your feet just wont seem to carry you fast enough…. (breathe) This dream stems from a repeated Traumatic experience when I was little…. Just thought id put it out there… LO

Okay Okay.. i have to fess up to a couple of things.. well the first being that I think i am just afraid to bellydance.... and you kno what ... I blame it on my ballet folklorico instructors... every last one that ive ever had... its totally an image thing.. In Ballet folklorico a man is supposto be all macho and have bigger movements and be this masculine thing... and well when you bellydance.. the movements are anything but.. and i love it... i love dance period!!!!! but and i kno it sounds like im rambling but thats how i think... so..... back to my teachers... ive had this stereotypical image pounded.... haha pounded... into me ever since i was a wee bean..... and now that im persuing other dance forms i am somewhat apprehensive... and i dont think i look funny when i bellydance.... and to be honest i think i look alright doing it.. its just im i guess nervous of the critiques that will come w me performing... AND thats another thing... i am a very care free person.. i dont give a fuck about shit... but why do i care what people think or are going to think when they see me shake shake....? you can chime in at anytime... i mean id love to have a solo piece... and do stuff... and that brings me to another thing.. ive never done a piece by myself ive always had a partner or a group so being the only one on stage makes me kinda nervous ya kno..? So this is my second day in the show me state called MISSOURI.. and not that im hating on missouri or anything.. but I am sooo bored.. like im seriously having withdrawls... dancing withdrawls and MEXICAN FOOD WITHDRAWLS.. hahaha.. seriously i could soooo do for a taco from one of those roach coaches... those are the best.. i know that sounds like a fat girl talking but being as i dont even eat that kinda stuff.. and it just not being available to me.. uhhh.. im sad about that and the lack of color around here.. my mommas town isnt very integrated if you know what i mean.. like all of you at hot pot know im a little tanned... but out here... damn!.. plus i really miss dance.. like really... much.. much much much.. cant wait to get back.. i wanna perform now... so AMY SIGIL... lets get a routine for me.. Im feeling really stiffeled.. or led or eld... or however the fuck you spell that word!!!... i could be using spell check but idk.... haha... so And this is coming from my mind.. so.. for me.. I have been dancing .. forever.. Ballet folklorico (mexican dance) and Ballet.. mainly for the technique like the straight lines n shit like that.. i never wanted to be a ballerina tho.. hahah.. well my point is.. ive dabbled in so many different kinds of dance to give me a wider range and a bigger openess about the different cultures..... WELL heres my point.. and i have one trust me... I have been having dreams.... and some may have interpreted (or however you spell that word...) these dreams as beautiful...but im actually a little freaked out by them..cuz i know what they mean, I know where they root from.. I know i should be putting more of me into my dance and more heart and soul into it but there is sooo much holding me back... OKAY...We all know its not in my nature to talk shit.. (cuz what gay boy does that?) lol.. but I really think having danced ballet folklorico for so long has really held me back.. if i ever wanted to do something big w my dancing.. i should have started when i was younger... or so ive been told... and NOW THE GOOD... bellydance .. has made me see things in such a different light.... I feel like a different person when im bellydancing... i feel grounded and dark and sensual... and i love it... I have gotten alot of praise for my practice videos...and i have been told that i am an inspiration and stuff.. and that is wonderful, and i have gotten suggestions on what i should work on.. and trust me im all about constructive critiscizm, especially from those who know their craft well.... and really.. honestly.. i put those up for me.. cuz i can see my progress.. okay so my point.. I have this gut feeling that I have found what i need to be doing.. dedicating my time to this practice and learning this craft.. and learning it well... BUT will it take me where i wanna go.. I want to dance.. and i want to dance well and be known for my dancing abilities.. like..DAMN.. HES BADASS... like that... so my real point... I feel like ive lost my drive for the other kinds of dance i do... is that a bad thing? is it wrong for me to just stop.. or has my time ended w ballet folklorico ? OKAY SO I JUST READ EVERYTHING I WROTE.. AND I TOTALLY RAMBLED.. ON.. HAHAHA..BUT THATS ME AND HOW I TALK AND THINK.. SO .. . LOVE YA LO

POSADA SHOW

so my dance company IMBA had our annual POSADA show... thats christmas in mexico.. um.. and its more a childrens event than anything.. but it was good i guess... the repertory class i teach did real well... im really tuff on those little wenches and i really try to push them to their fullest.. and they impressed me... (tear) but dont tell them im proud.. hahah.. and we ( the touring co. ) used this show to debut our audition piece for the 07 ethnic dance festival and it actually turned out okay...so... (fingers crossed) i hope we do well at the auditions in jan... MUAHZ... LO. oh i put a new vid on youtube... i still need major work on my arms tho.. hahaha
