Ah... Lorenzo. I would not be who I am today without knowing some of the more influential people in my life throughout the years. Lorenzo has played the roles of step-father, pseudo-uncle, and, most importantly, friend. It speaks volumes about what a great friend he has been that we have kept in touch as family-by-choice over the many years and miles apart. He is both clever and goofy, and has even learned not to take himself too seriously over the years.

This has just been posted as a subject on:

I'm a member if the Green-Rainbow party of Massachusetts. As a result of work accomplished by our Advisory Ballot Working Group, the Mass. Coalition for Healthy Communities and most recently, the Committee for a Secure Green Future:

masschc.org/Secure_Green_Future.php

a question has been written we're working to get on the November Ballot.

This is an example of the work some people are doing to get an " official " message to our ( district ) State Representatives that the "numb" ers commonly being published and worked toward as being acceptable in an effort to mitigate the catastrophic and cataclysmic effects of pumping fossil carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases ( methane etc. ) into our atmosphere are unacceptable.

www.350.org/

There's ambiguity about this particular phrase " phases out tax incentives for energy-intensive projects" noted by many people who have signed and been reluctant to sign because of the language as RENEWABLE energy intensive projects are what we are calling for and certainly will appreciate support and inclusion of tax incentives.
It was written this way as we were attempting to keep the question as short and simple as possible. There is supporting text in the questions and answers on our modest website.

I'd really appreciate getting into a conversation about your thoughts about the effectiveness of a local, non binding public policy ballot initiative, what it will take, as an effort of "we, the people" both politically and in the ways we alter our lifestyles to, eventually, reduce to zero the fossil and nuclear fuels we consume.

I've recently become a contract "advisor" for Climate Energy, a small innovative company in Medfield Massachusetts.
If you heat with natural gas or propane and you're interested in replacing your current furnace or boiler with a system that will save you money and reduce your fossil carbon consumption, I'd love to communicate with you. If you know of someone who may appreciate this system, referrals are much appreciated.

Hi Lorenzonine,
The workshop you wanted opened up - "Retrofitting Existing Single Family Homes".
You are first on the waiting list.
It will be much of the same material as the Wed am session of the same title that you are a volunteer in.
Do you want the workshop?

> YES

If so, do you still want that session too?

> YES

If not I can give it to someone else. Please let me know asap.

Well - - - it looks like my number NINE is way into my life. ALL the sessions I'll be assisting at are "track 9 " which deals with sustainable retrofitting.

All you sustainability advocates, designers, builders, engineers, architects and system providers etc. check out:

and has been for a few months. The 30 + year old carpet has been stripped and is being recycled ( i hope ).
I've "finished" the plywood floor in the smallest room ( my bedroom ) and am starting to settle in and organize.
The "media room" is next - - - then the living room.

I'm still invisioning what modifications and additions may be accomplished to get a tenfold increase in performance.
This, I really need professional help with, as I want to make this a DURABLE shelter, and doing things the wrong way could result in disaster.

The garden has been shared with pesky squirril's who boldly sit atop the tomato cages half eating the cherry's and dropping the remains.
The beets and carrots are doing well - - - late plantings of greens are going in.

The deed is nearly complete - - - my sister and I completed our agreement this afternoon.
Just a little more time to process and I'll be sole owner of what was my Fathers house.
My machine shop is in the basement - - - there was no where else to put it - - - so - - -
I stopped at Ferjulians Farm and bought seeds this morning. Carrots, Beets ( two kinds ) and Chard.
The garden is almost ready for planting. It was a bit too wet today.
Now, it's biking over to CambridgePort to hang with Barbara - - -

Tomorrow . . . . . . . . .

The gøød visions of yesterday will be real. We have met and reached agreement. The plans will have been made and the structures erected - we will be living well within the shell - insulated - not isolated - from the elements - and - the seed we sew will grow -
