good books?

   Thu, October 11, 2007 - 11:22 AM
Rich and I are leaving on Saturday for Israel (and a little Egypt) for 3 weeks. I'm going to stop by Shakespeare & Company tonight to pick up some used books to read during our travels. I'm a little short on ideas right now on what do look for.

Any suggestions (besides new releases)?

it's hard to recommend what you should read when I feel you've read everything :-)
but really, it's that I don't know what you like to read...

I lean towards biographies, oral histories and punk chronicles -
Rip It Up And Start Again
Rosebud (orson welles biography)
Hughes: His Life and Madness
Please Kill Me
The Other Hollywood /Main Lines
Blood Feasts, and Bad Taste: A Lester Bangs Reader
Da Capo Best Music Writing 2003: The Year's Finest Writing on Rock,Pop,Jazz,Country, & More

have a wonderful time!!
