Attention Musicians and Filmmakers (blog entry) I posted this to my LJ, but it tends to show up delayed here... And most of my artist friends are on Tribe. So, here goes: Paulo Coelho is holding a competition for filmmakers to make parts of a film based on his book, The Witch of Portobello. See... read more

I'm committed to help you look fabulous (blog entry) People keep asking me where I get my extravagant hair accessories, who did my make-up, where I got my clothes. The truth is, most of it is created by me. I might have gone to the store and bought a dress and then modified it, or I might have bough... read more

Free Massage! (blog entry) As many of you already know, I have gotten my massage license about a week ago. It was a long wait from graduation in September, but it is done now. I am overjoyed. I am already taking many more clients, and getting better by the day. The more I d... read more

about me
I always find it hard to describe myself. I'm a singer, a poet, a dancer...

As a singer, I am looking for fellow musicians to make noise with.

I have lived in many different places, to the point that I started considering emigrating as a sort of hobby.

People keep asking me where I get my extravagant hair accessories, who did my make-up, where I got my clothes. The truth is, most of it is created by me. I might have gone to the store and bought a dress and then modified it, or I might have bought some ribbon and turned it into wild hair, or used stockings and wire to make faerie wings...
So, anyway, I have decided to go pro. Initially my mainstay will be Cozmic Locks (see picture), but I also make faerie wings on commission, do bodypaint a... read more

www.paperbackswap.com

I discovered this service through some excellent advice on a Livejournal community I am part of.
It is an excellent way to cut some clutter, bring joy to others, and get cheap books straight to your doorstep. Basically, you start out by listing 9 books you don't need anymore. For that, you automatically get to pick out three books for yourself that will get shipped to you for free. Then, for any book that someone requests from you (and that you will pay shipping on, ... read more

The Hyperaware Consciousness

Have you ever said a word so many times that it loses its meaning? One experiment in Roger-Pol Droit’s book “Astonish Yourself: 101 Experiments in the Philosophy of Everyday Life” is to call yourself by name out loud for 30 minutes. Your name will eventually lose meaning and sound strange. This could inspire a fun genre of puns. [...]

Introduction Do you get an “information buzz” surfing the web until 2am? Love to follow your curiosity manically down tangential paths and wind up with 20+ Firefox tabs open? I am creating networks of these people. They are autodidacts–inspired, self driven, independent thinkers. People who experience ‘flow’ (fully immersed, energized focus on an activity) by filtering information through [...]

I’d like a 3-d, navigable, web of ideas. Much like TiddlyWiki which is “a non-linear personal web notebook”. Only I’d like my creation to be visual. I want to see the nodes connect, like a mindmap (like FreeMind). This is a diagram (click for a better, larger real example of the diagram): Each node in the web [...]
