It's been a really good summer, though it's been passing way too fast!

I'm going back to the beach and camping in Rehobeth, Delaware, with Kibo and Jamie this coming weekend. We've been camping at the same place every summer for the past few years. It's in the woods, close to the beach. We're staying till the following Tuesday (August 23-26th). I'm really looking forward to it!

I have free airline tickets on United I need to use up before they expire so I'm going to fly to Tennessee for the first part of the Fall Gathering at SMS. I'll probably fly Kibo and John with me if they can get the time off from work. We would have to return the following Tuesday, so it'll be a quick trip, September 27-30th.

I'll be returning to PDF for the Fall burn. John hasn't been to Playa del Fuego yet so I intend to bring him with me. The dates for the gathering are October 9-13th. I had such a wonderful time at the Spring burn at PDF - I can't wait to go back! Great drumming - really nice people!

So that's 3 camping adventures in a row! A Beach vacation, a Radical Faerie gathering, and a Burn. YAY!!!

My life seems to have finally stabilized and is moving in a very positive direction now. Ahhh – Peace at last! I had some really rough times over the past eight months. May was the worst. I spent most of it very depressed. A lot of it has to do with my work, which was totally stressing me out! But now things are really cool and I’m happy.

I love the summer. It feels good to sweat and be outdoors. Naturally, I’m biking as much as I can and grilling too. I love to BBQ!
I’ve been hanging out a lot with my local friends as usual. I haven’t gotten around to start dating again. I guess I will when I’m ready for that. Even though I feel lonely sometimes, I’m not pressed to get into another relationship just yet.

I know this blog entry is pretty “vanilla” but I think I just mostly wanted to say Hi to you guys and let you know I’m alright.

Since I am passing up going to Transformus (the Southeast Regional burn), I'm investing my time, energy, and spirit in going to Playa del Fuego instead. I'm actually pretty excited about it cause I have a fresh adventurous attitude toward this event!

I've only attended PDF (the Mid-Atlantic Regional burn) once before, exactly a year ago. However I went with a group of friends and didn't interact a lot with the veteran burners there. This time I'm arriving solo with the positive intention of throwing mysef into the event and making new friends. YAY for me! :-)

One of my local buddies may still show up later, but I'm not really concerned about it one way or the other. PDF is this coming Memorial Day Weekend for 4 days. I'm going to have a great time camping, drumming, partying, and meeting lots of fun people - Woo Hoo!
