So 2009 has already been amazingly interesting for me. So many changes taking place all at the same time! It's difficult to wrap my head around it all really. DC is alive and vibrant and my job is getting more interesting by the minute now that Obama's administration is up and running. Yay!

But the personal changes and journey's I'm going through are the most interesting. After living alone now for the past few months, I've grown much more comfortable with myself. I'm calming down and feeling more grounded lately. It's such a relief. I feel happier more often than not. And that's a nice thing.

Also I've had the strangest experiances with people from my extreme past suddenly finding me and wanting desperately to reconnect. Personally I think many of them are going through some kind of midlife crisis, but eh.. it's all good...lol! Yes, thanks to "Facebook" - people I went to High School with in Kaiserslautern Germany have been popping up left and right! What a fucking trip! The eight years I spent in europe was a big part of my life and directly influenced who I am today in many ways. It's very odd to have the different chapters of my life gradually getting bound into the same big book. Everything is starting to make sense...

...and it's really freaking me out. (But in a good way!)

I’m having a really nice Winter Solstice/Christmas Season for some wonderful reason! It’s ironic because I’m just scraping by financially and so you’d think I’d be really bumming out. I still haven’t rented out my spare room, thus I’m losing about $600 per month that I normally count on. On the other hand, I’ve been enjoying living by myself these past three months. I love my happy little home! It’s so warm and inviting!

I have a gorgeous Christmas tree that my cat (Gabriel) loves sitting under. He mistakenly thinks it was put up for his amusement. The tree was gifted to me by Alex who personally picked it out and cut it down. I am deeply grateful!

Many old friends are in town for the holidays so I’m doing a lot of entertaining. As most of you know, I love cooking and providing fun (strong) beverages to my guests. Ahhh,…good times! Hee hee hee! Kibo, John, and usually Stephen, and I still collaborate on dinner meals often, thus I continue to enjoy a family community of friends.

I’m still single, which I’ve managed to finally grow used to. It’s been over a year now. I think it’s actually been good for me. I’ve been very careful not to rush into any new relationships. I want to find my next partner naturally. I’m not hunting at all and I’m very okay with that.

I know my blog entries are rare. Never-the-less, I wanted to post this now and wish everyone well! I love my friendships with each of you! Thank you and Take care!
