The top 10 reasons why I think Lucinia is the Shizznit!
10. When I first met her I liked her!

Luciana is a well spoken, helpful Tribe friend. We have yet to meet face to face but she is a great supporter of her "friends". I look forward to seeing her dance at Belly Dancer USA.

about me
I've been a student of belly dancing for a little over three years. Have been performing publicly a little over a year at community events. Just recently started (March 08) dancing professionally. Areas of study are American Tribal Style with Gypsy Caravan Dance Studio, Tribaret with Severina, Egyptian with Cassiopeia. American Cabaret with Rachel George. I am a member and student of Suhaila Salimpour School of Dance Certified level one dancer. I hold one title, Winner of 2007 Double Crown Phoenix (Intermediate student) Category. Belly dancing is my passion and my number one priority in my life.

The Cancer Bellydancer
Cancer in Dance is Soft & Feminine
Cancer is symbolized by the Crab and is ruled by the Moon, planet of the receptive feminine. The colour is SILVER and Cancer rules the chest and belly. The Cancer character is intuitive, sensual, feminine, caring, deep and creative. Cancerian dancers are beautiful, refined dancers with a touch of mystery and some warm, fun playfulness.
A water sign, Cancer enjoys the emotive quality of music and dance. In dance, Cancer is prefers dancing at home parties and with a group of women, but can be a luminous performer when expressing herself with soulful music to an audience who appreciates artistry. Explore movements that gesture inwardly and highlight the chest and belly.
Feminine costumes in pastel colours, silvers, pinks, purples and pearly sheens with diaphanous flowing skirts and veils help Cancer express her beauty. A silver belly chain emphasizing the waist is feminine and shines as the dancer undulates and performs refined belly rolls. Diamantes that flicker in the night make you shine like the lunar goddess you are!
Cancerian dancers resonate with the moon's phases, so note that you will dance more emotionally on a full moon. that things just are not moving along as fast as they could be? I'm feeling like that right now. Finances are slow to come along to meet my needs. The frustration in trying to decide what to do next. People don't return your calls or answer your e-mail. Which competition to enter or not enter. Costuming coming along slowly. Just getting things together for the future seems impossible sometimes.

Last night I had a wonderfully challenging class. Only two of us showed up so our Instructor did not have to teach down the class. For once in a long long time have I been challenged to this level. Well not counting Suhaila's workshop I attended last month, but I was extremely grateful that I did not have the skills for once for this class. It challenged me on all levels and I loved it!! I performed yesterday at Saqra's showcase. Metallica's Enter Sandman was my choice of music. I have to admit I was very nervous and had my doubts about this exercise in creativity given to me by Suhaila Salimpour. I worried about how I would be perceived, how?????? ooooooo forget it......
