Sh*t I've Got to Say
Big Day in New Hampshire Comes Today
Tue, January 8, 2008 - 6:02 AMEveryone was asking him whether he was going to run when he had barely been in politics. Everyone wanted him, and he looked around and thought, do I learn more about politics and then run for president when I have more experience. And then he realized, No, they are asking me whether I will run because they want me to run. They can't wait. They need me now. Everyone asked him. We wanted him, and he said ok. And that's why he's winning….because we called for him, and he came.
He wrote a speech that will change the world. With one speech, he will change the world. When Barak Obama spoke at the 2004 democratic convention, he generated excitement unmatched even by the democratic candidate for president that year. We didn't want Kerry. We wanted
this person who we had never even heard of before to be president.
Barak Obama saw the world of politics before he became part of the world of politics. He doesn't know how the U.S. has done diplomacy before, he doesn't know how the U.S. has waged wars before, and he doesn't know how to be privileged before. He is one of us, with charisma. And he takes his charm and his insight and his understanding
of our country and this world and says how about doing this instead. And politicians say your crazy. But we say, why not. That might work because what you all are doing on Capital Hill isn't working. Hell, it doesn't even seem like you care about us. So we don't want you. We want us. And Barak is one of us.

!
It's pretty amazing and intense! I feel like he America's last hope in some ways. I really wonder if our country would let someone like him ever be president.

Charisma and charm do not make a good leader, but they are handy.
Powerful speaking also does is necessary for a leader, but not an indicator of intelligence, or wisdom. When looking for a new leader - speeches, debates, promisses, public appearences are all very weak indicators of future performance. ... but the record doesn't lie. Check his record. Though short, it is stellar. It seems a bit confusing until you listen again to his words and then the record becomes clear. Obama isn't about political strategy to win a conflict against he other party. He's about changing the debate, so we all win. Business and the Environment are not enemies. Corporations and Unions are not enemies. If we work the laws correctly, they build off each other. His strategy is to change the game so that both competitors win by working together. That philosophy (evidenced in his record) is what we need. His intelligence and charm make the strategy possible. And his speeches motivate us all into believing. That's why my wife and I drove to NH and walked the streets in support of Obama. That's why we've given money we only barely had. That's why we're voting for him. -Scott |

Obama all the way! And, he was against the Iraq war from day one (unlike Hillary).
Sorry Ron Paul fans. Obama is pro-choice (Senor Paul is anti-abortion). And, unlike Paul, my man Obama actually has a chance of winning. I know that last comment is evil and harsh to say AND confirms that I am a bad person, but it is true.... Ron Paul has absolutely no chance. ****Most importantly though, Obama has the BEST hair of any presidential candidate since Kennedy. It's amazing. It's all salt and pepper and dignified and shit. Hillary's hair is mediocre at best. Ron Paul's hair is simply a disaster. I rest my case. |
