I sit...waiting...deept in thought.
A gentle breeze falls upon my skin,
whispering through my hair.
The leaves on the tree above me,
begin to quiver, they catch my attention,
as if to say...dance with us, feel the child within, be free.
I find my self watching the clouds float by slowly,
revealing their many shapes,
drawing me into imagination & symbolism.

A precious gift we do not see,
we fail to face reality.
We take for granted Mother Earth,
she nurtures us upon our birth.
Life's like a flower buds then blooms,
then fills the air with sweet perfumes.
But when it dies we all grow sad,
we didn't realize what we had.
For all the loved ones we hold dear,
may suddenly just disappear.
So please be sure to live each day,
like it's your last to last to laugh and play.

Non-violence is a very deep philosophy. Not only does it require us to harm no one physically, but also avoid harming anyone's self-respect. Such an ethic requires tremendous awareness and sensitivity. When we have learned to be gentle with ourselves, we can be the same with others.
