So what are ya'll doing to prep for the upcoming decision day? Are you talking to neighbors? Reading articles about bond measures and such? Random throw of the dart?

I must say I've come to rely on the Ballot Parties as my source of info for local issues. A few I'll learn about by accident it seems, but for the most part it's when I get into a group of people holding their ballots and ranting on side or the other that I get a sense of what the issues are.

Settling into this town one event at a time...

1) I took the kiddos (all 6 of them) to Harrah's sidewalk art event... Reno's very own Chalk the Walk. I outlined each of them creating a space of each of the little artists to fill in themselves, then did a background mural with a Cowboy Poem...

Maya stayed overnight with the cousins and we got to a night to ourselves and... the Rush concert. wOw. Geddy Lee is still dark and dreamy. With a visit from South Park and the most amazing drum solo I've heard live, ever I think. It was a lovely lovely night. Happy birthday to me! :)
