Maya stayed overnight with the cousins and we got to a night to ourselves and... the Rush concert. wOw. Geddy Lee is still dark and dreamy. With a visit from South Park and the most amazing drum solo I've heard live, ever I think. It was a lovely lovely night. Happy birthday to me! :)

And then... yesterday was the Reno River Festival's Run Amuck race... 2.5 miles of street, 60' of belly crawl mud pit, and various mystery obstacles... as the devil of course I cheated... passed out porn and cigarettes to the racers, distributed gold coins, bought souls, bribed judges, and tormented racers. Nathan went as Jesus and oh lord the fun... he passed out miracles, holy water, blessings and encouragement, discouraged smoking and porn and generally had a super fun time of it. We lost the race (partly due to the cheating) but won the Most Creative Costume www.rgj.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article 2 full day river trips, 2 pairs of shoes (woohoo!) and $50 @ Bully's. It was a blast.

To clarify the accessories...flask with radioactive logo "Low Fat High Energy", cards with the word "porn", bag of gold coins and apples, cigarettes and hmmm... something else I don't remember. Nate's bling... cards with "miracle" on them, bubble bottles labeled "holy water". hehe...

Damn do we miss our Texans.

The burn community had a weak (read: absent) showing. I think next year I'm going to try to incorporate a mini Viking burn boat into the festival and lure burners to come and get dressed up and do/not do the Run Amuck.
