<div>I am very pleased to announce that my short story Collection, "Shaytan Rising" is now available from Lulu Press.

From the press release:

"Shaytan Rising is a collection of five short stories which examine the dark sides of the self. Kyle Sennett wrote Shaytan Rising , compiling five of his best short works. The title story SHAYTAN RISING tells the tale of a man who finds himself inexorably drawn to a dark force that he cannot identify until he becomes that dark force himself. SHE is the tale of the Old Gift and the terrifying creature who is its keeper. CONFESSIONS OF A DJINI takes a more humorous tone, exposing the secrets of the wish-granting spirits eternally tied to their lamps. In BACKLASH we meet Jessica, who has returned to her family home and her family's secrets. And finally in THE CIRCLE we meet a coterie of magicians who are plagued by an urge demon, Abraxas, and the machinations of their own superiors within their secret Order."

PLEASE SUPPORT A NEW AUTHOR AND BUY MY BOOK. IT'S ONLY $14.99

 <div>.......AND THERE WAS BELTAINE.......

SO, last Thursday August reminded me that it was Beltaine weekend. I immediately called Miss Nancy and said, "What are you doing?" And she said, "Going to Anarchist Beltaine of course." And I said, "I wanna go, I wanna go, I wanna go, I wanna go, I wanna go, I wanna go, I wanna go!" So we did. We were there Fri, Sat &amp; Sun. I barely got any sleep, took a bath in the river both days and didn't look at my cell phone from Fri nite until about 11am this morning. I fell asleep on the ocuch last night at about 11:30pm, woke up at 5am and went to bed then slept til 11am. I also have one helluva sunburn, but I love it.

OMG. I had the most fantastic time. The campground was WAY out in the sticks in the most beautiful country side imaginable. Everything was beautiful, the rituals were all fantastic, I had so much fun. I met a ton of new wonderful people and saw a whole bunch of people I already knew. And I came home with some more water to add to my collection -- Beltaine water -- yay! And of course a nice healthy chunk of the Maypole.

I'm hooked. I've been craving the pagan community like a drink of water, but I wasn't sure where to start. I have quite a few in-roads to the larger community but none of them jumped out at me until now. I've made some tentative forays into a few groups and left with a sour taste in my mouth every time until now. This is exactly the group of people I have been looking for.

My ju-ju has not felt this recharged since..... I don't remember. This was one of the first times in a long time that I totally got the vibe and was completely comfortable with it. It took me the first night and about half of the second day to fully immerse in it -- new guy syndrome -- but as soon as my comfort level rose past the critical point I jumped in with both feet. Not coincidentally most likely it was right after I had jumped in the river all the way a couple times -- it was so cold -- the bone ache kind from snow runoff. But a long ass hike made me hot enough that it felt really good, good enough to do it twice.

Spiral Rythyms Festival is next :) June 1-4. I am SO there. I'll be better prepared next time too. I got ready in about an hour and a half, and after I got there I realized what I should have brought. I didn't go without anything I needed, but I know now more what to prepare for -- the fun stuff, not just the camping needs. </div>
