Yep. I grew up on a working farm. I learned how to drive a tractor before I learned how to drive a car. I got up early every day and milked the goats.

4 generations of Margaret

The name Margaret has been passed down through my family for eight generations. Yep. This was a rare sighting of four of us. My great-grandmother died the following year. She was a psychic. People would travel great distances to her in Utah for a reading. I wish I'd had a chance to get to know her more in life.

I didn't like photos at this age.

I started riding when I was 20. I used to take long road trips with my boyfriend at the time and we would often snap pictures of each other while riding along at 60mph (gotta love those throttle locks). This was on a trip to Sedona when it was unbelievably hot while riding through Needles, CA.

Maggie & Margy: The Farmer's Life Begins

When I was just out of the 6th grade we moved out of the city (Santa Monica) and into the countryside of Los Olivos, where we had built a house, planted a vineyard, built a winery, made wine, grew our own vegetables and had a lot of farm animals. It was a glorious change from the city. This picture was taken on the day we first visited the property, when there were only oak trees and barbed wire fence. Raw land. My grandmother took this picture and then left the camera out in the hot sun for a bit. That's why it's blurry - it's partially melted.

Pay no attention to the seeming randomness behind me.
