With Sonya, one needs to rehearse
Or be blasted for substandard verse
To take matters in hand
One must first understand
That her mind, for amusement, oft thirsts.
In performance she gives us her all
Which is quite a lot as she is tall
And when spinning we shout
"Oh dear God! Put us out!"
It is she who's left holding the ball.
In Turkish and Russian she speaks,
She'll learn more in a matter of weeks!
When she's in "linguist mode"
She can hack the source code
Of the ways we launch words from our cheeks!
When I'm downstairs she calls from above
"Hey Baz, we must soon walk out of
your house if your wishes
include omelet-like dishes"
There's a word for it - I think it's "love"...

I first met this lady before she spun fire... when her most showy motion-based skills were on the DDR machine. I could parrot all that everyone has said about her amazing spinning, or her unparalleled linguistic abilities, or her impossible beauty... but did you know that she's also a master pundit? that she and her brother share a secret language that I still can't make heads nor tales of? that her holiday gifts more often than not include obscure language dictionaries? that she's still a better DDRer than I am, despite the years of practice I've had since our first encounters? She is, in short, everything anyone could ever want in a friend, companion, teacher, lover, juggling partner, fire-spinning safety, or any other role you'd have her play.
The English language is insufficient to properly convey the wonder of this woman. Let me try in a few other tongues:
mi-a ramas sufletul la tine
bi yue xiu hua
du hast mir den Kopf verdreht
ty menya prigubil
je bent om op te vreten
spasibo chto ty est' na svete!
draco dormiens nunquam titilandus
Okay, maybe that last one doesn't specifically apply, but it's good advice anyway. I wouldn't recommend tickling Sonya while she sleeps, either.

How many fire-breathing Renaissance women do you know? Sonya is a unique individual - she speaks several languages, has a thirst for knowledge, a wicked wit, and of course there's the elegant sensual way she dances with the flame. I can listen to her sexy voice for days. She has an adorable irresistable impish-ness about her. To try to sum her up in such a short space is futile, but Sonya is yummy, sizzlin', playful, brilliant, entrancing, and - thankfully - my friend.

I call Sonya my fiery, magical friend.
An entrancing mix of brilliance and alluring litheness, tall and gorgeous, graceful and animalistic; her movements have a sensual, sybaritic lavishness; her dancing fluid, and intellect sharp and mercurial
I’ve been so delighted with her fire spinning - I’ve watched her enough to tell what moves are new and what moves she created herself – but to me her magic is
.
No one, and I do mean NO one, looks better while revolving and swiveling a blazing staff.
