"They Said......"

September 13, 2007
Mahin is one of the top level dancers in AZ. Not only is she a great teacher and dancer, but she has been working very hard to bring open dance shows and fun events to the valley. She also has taken on MEDCA AZ chapter which is running smoothly. She is very professional and a lady who is not only nice, but high energy. Keep up the great work and I look forward to going to many of your future events.

Mahin,
Some people are beautiful inside only and some others are just beautiful on the outside, but you're just beautiful.
Thanks for bringing my design alive through your beauty.
Good Luck in your dance journey!

What's Going On Around Here...

INTERMEDIATE MIDDLE EASTERN DANCE - THURSDAYS 8PM - TEMPE/AHWAHTUKEE AREA (events » arts) Thursday, February 21, 2008 - 8:00 PM This class builds on the foundational movements of Middle Eastern dance. Using these skills, we will expand our dance vocabulary to include new movements, variations and transitions. Each class includes warm-up, movement drills, combinations, zagat/zills (finger cymbals) practice, and stretching/strengthening exercises to support your progress. Some classes will feature live drumming - a great way to really learn those rhythms and practice improvisational skills!

I'M DONE!

I cannot take this heat anymore! If I at all possibly could, I'd refuse to go out in daylight till it cools off.... when will that be... October?

It's like an ever-present evil just waiting for you to come out and pounce on you. It hits you like a furnace blast when you open the door.
It's too hot to move outside... too hot to breathe even. My lungs are scorched.

Hell doesn't scare me.... I live in PHOENIX!

I had so much fun last year, I have to go back!
Yesterday I booked my flight, hotel and workshops for Cairo Carnivale. Although I went last year, I decided to go too late to get a performance slot. This year I put in a request and forgot to mail back my contract because I was so busy working on the Tucson event... oh yeah... and going to school. I got put on the waiting list.
I guess luck is with me this year since I got a call from the performance coordinator asking me if I wanted a spot... read more

Re: On dancing to the music.... Interesting... I agree with Sasha that ballet is harder on the body. The movements of ballet are completely unnatural to our body's biomechanics. Bellydance movement works with the body's natural me... read more
