There was a party at my house

There was a party at my house last night and I wasn't invited. My cats kept running around the house all night acting crazy... meowing, jumping around the bed, running to other rooms and back. At one point I heard the crash of something falling from a table but was too tired to check it out until this moring. I figured (it was super windy last night) that the wind was the reason the cats decided to go insane. However.. upon inspecting the house this morning I discovered a package of cat treats laying on the floor like the carcass of some prized catch... There were claw marks and tooth impressions all over the package and there was a giant rip down the center. The treats were no where to be found. I also discovered a plant upside down on my dining room floor and two throughly cleaned out food bowls that were full yesterday. So, here is how I envisioned it happening... Lodan, the kitten is my primary suspect. Chi, the 2 year old is the reluctant accomplice. I'm sure she tried to convince him that getting into a bag of treats was a bad idea. Lodan must have had some juicy dirt on her to force her to go along with his plans. After they came down from their high, they must have had a serious case of the muchies and devoured everything in their food bowls. I'm sure they will be sleeping off the withdrawls and hangover today. I may have to gather the family for a kitty treat intervention.

It used to be that man wooed the woman. He courted the girl and impressed the father until both granted permission for the male to whisk the female away from the family to start their own. And then came women’s liberation, one of the most glorious revolutions of the 20th century. So the roles are blurred and a bit confused and neither sex knows quite what to do about the other. I'm not to sure what’s going on in a man's mind but this is what’s going on in mine... Am I aggressive enough? Am I too aggressive? Am I too independent? Do I wait for someone who is attractive, of similar faith with similar interests and available, to come along and sweep me off my feet? Yeah right, like that’s ever going to happen. :) Or do I go after them when I see someone I'm interested in regardless of the availability factor? Or does that fall under the too aggressive trait? LOL! All I have figured out is that I'm definitely doing something wrong! That's my conundrum of the day.

I spent 12 hours today on my kitchen and bathroom. The bathroom is 95% finished... whew! The kitchen is pretty close too... I'm getting close to being able to sit back, relax and enjoy what I've been working so hard for. Beacher... if the offer is still up for assistance, I was wondering if you could help me make some corner stone markers to place around the property for protection.. something like the staves you make for samhain, but more low to the ground with stone bases. I'm in no hurry, I know you are a delightfully busy artist! :)

I learned a few things over the weekend... don't sleep outside on the night of the first frost without people to snuggle with. Make sure the people your going to snuggle with will actualy be willing to go to sleep at the same time or it defeats the shared heat thing. I was at a ceremony using only drums and dancing and it was amazing... chilling but amazing! Other than feeling like I was going to freeze to death, I had an intense Samhain! I woke up serveral times this morning and each time I had a vision. Most of them were of a woman surrounded by lights.. she looked like a goddess or faerie queen... so beautiful. One of the images was a star with many points, I didn't think to count them at the time, but the star had layers like tree rings and each layer had a pattern or different color. It was beautiful. So, whether it was from the ceremony, sleep deprevation, a mead hangover, the amazing energy of the camp groud I was at, or some kind of extreme survival of the cold trigger, something gave me a beautiful gift this morning and I'm thankful for it, as well as thankful for the sofa I crashed on as soon as I got home. I also have a new respect for truely homeless people who have to weather the winter with little shelter.

1. I tried to dig an underground city when I was a kid because I had a dream that I started my own utopian city that way. My dad walked outside and spotted me with the shovel, he asked me what I was doing so I told him. he said, stop being such a dreamer, the world sucks, you're not going to be able to escape it, and the sooner you get used to it, the better. Thankfully I chose to disregard his advice. :) 2. I lived out of a '78 Trans Am in LA for 2 weeks when I was a teenager until my boyfriend told me to go home. 3. I was going to run away with the Ren Fest before I got pregnant with my daughter at 19. I was also going to island hop my way to Australia mate. 4. Green is my favorite color. 5. I have a forearm fetish hehehe. 6. I love dreaming. 7. I hate Christmas. 8. If it wasn't for my daughter, I would be a nomad. 9. Crying in public is my biggest fear (crying in front of anyone actually). 10. I constantly make up really great new songs in the car but forget them by the time I get where I'm going.

Three Balls in 8 days

I am wiped out but I've had so much fun in the last 8 days. Last weekend was FaerieCon and this weekend was the Witches Ball... which was amazing! The weather was beautiful and the company was devine! Emera and Diana were positively delicious, Darius and Mouse were adorable and Scott was the hottest damn crazy doctor ever! Emera and I took third place in the constume contest, I was the faerie queen and she was the queen's french harlot. There was a point during the drumming when I thought someone was channeling Kadesha, I heard a drum that sounded like hers and it was playing a beat that was just like the one she likes to play. Oh, and Scott did a nice job of standing in for Kurt's arse LOL! One thing is for sure, Pagans and Faeries know how to party!
