okeedokee! originally from new orleans and former resident of bayou lafourche, i recently moved to lafayette from the lovely blue ridge mountains of boone, north carolina. i was fortunate to meet and dance with the Lost Jewels of the Ghawazee in Granite Falls, a fantastic group of ladies i will miss dearly (love to my beautiful partner, Cyra, fabulous teacher, Neela, and the dynamic dancing drumming duo, Johara + Paul!)

Jessa from Mehlika's Mirage ignited the first bellydance spark in me and it is so very wonderfully COOL to be near her again :) and learn and collaborate and transfer inspiration and find other dancers that want to dance with fire.......

i am looking forward to getting involved with PURE, but most unfortunately i willl not be at the gathering this saturday as i registered for the Morocco workshop happening here in lafayette this weekend. i am hoping it will be a nice way to see the styles of the different lafayette troupes and regional dancers too.
