Through the Arts, I live Life. I grew up drawing and painting the beauty of the diverse faces around me, which later turned into a Love for painting tribal peoples around the world. I was originally taught about the magick of channeling the elements through dance by the Congolese... who also taught me about the hidden powers of rhythm - in exchange for teaching their youth Arts and Crafts. It was through this outlet that I fell in love with the roots of trance dancing, and how balancing objects upon the head helped to ground one's center deep unto the Earth while opening to the Ancestral Spirits.... And when I chose to open my being in this way, a whole world of cultural and global movement and experience opened up for me. To better understand the science of Energy and the Elements, I delved extensively into the systems of Chinese and Japanese Healing Arts. It was during this period of my life that I became a mother and grew impassioned with The Revolution... out of a deep instinct to strive for a world that could cradle my grandchildren, and the next 7 generations beyond, as well as honor all those that I had lost along the way. Within this newfound passion, I found my voice... through writing, spoken word, and melodic incantations I have discovered a gift that gives Rise to limitless awakening. And so I sing, for communion, my community, the children, this Earth, our Dreams, and for my Ancestors that guide me. Peace is the Revolution.
