it's been over fifteen years since it snowed like this in london. hampstead heath was a winter wonderland of snowmen and snowball fights. people were sledging and even snowboarding down kite hill. it seems, for the most part, snow makes people happy.

i'm glad to be here at this time. the cold has been refreshing. the snow has melted now, but it's still a wee bit chillier than venice...
i find myself in a city where everyone speaks mandarin! the playa glow was still eminating from my pores when i touched down in the country of my ancestors.

culture shock? shockingly enough, not in the slightest... it's as though i came home, again. i had wondered if coming straight from BRC to a wedding in China was going to be a little tricky to pull off, but in fact, nothing could have been farther from the truth. maybe i just have a natural affinity with this place. maybe the playa enriched soul can go anywhere in the world and be home.
