Year's ago she sparked my imagination with her incredible flutter by fire light. I have never recovered. I, still to this day, go weak for a hip drop. Perhaps you will see a little glaze to eyes when layers are added ;) Zafira is like a dream team I didn't know was a fantasy for me. And there they are...Such complex flavor they bring to life's recipe.

Maria is one of the coolest people I've ever met.
She was a great teacher, I learned SO much from the Zafira workshops and I was so inspired by her dancing, I was moved to tears. She's got an awesome laugh, a great sense of humor and I knew when I met her, we'd be great friends. I can't wait to spend MORE time around this awesome Mom and kick azz chick. and maybe I'll get to Pennsic at some point for additional shenanigans with her! HUGS Obi January 16, 2006
Few can inspire me like Maria. She is a genuine woman who inspires genuine responses in me:

Maria is amazing!! she is this intense person, who is able to delve deep into things and at the same time remain very light and open. Its been an inspiration to watch her grow as a person, she has always been curious about the world. No matter what life throws her way she has this underlying joyfulness to her soul that can't be touched. Its been great being her big sister, but at times I feel she is my big sister, she is an inspiration and a beauty to watch dance, she takes my breath away!!! I love you Maria, Jen

If it wasn't for this goddess I wouldn't be where I am today. Somewhere around six years ago this girl mesmerized me and inspired me with her speedy hips and drops around the campfire in west virginia. That's an image that will never leave me, nor would I ever want it to. Following that, she quickly became one of my best friends. I made a geeky ass of myself singing the song "maria" from the sound of music, she just laughed and handed me booze, how could we not be friends. Not only one of the most magnificent dancers, but one the most wonderful people I know, my world would most definitely be a darker place without maria. Now if only I could figure moving texas a little closer to pennsylvania, I miss you everyday girl.

grrrr, i hate it when i have to cancel!! I hope to catch some of the people that regular my Friday night class, because I have to cancel tonight(march, 16) because of bad road conditions!
