Well mmmmnnnn, this was a good event and a good day.
Fabulous dance talent. Now I know that many of the featured dancers are "friends" but understand if they were not entertaining I would just not mention anything at all. I mention this because they were "on" today. Yasmina herself did a fun Flamenco, Cerice, Madrina, Johanna, Misha and Azeeria as soloists...Students and troupes of each entertained and Madrina's students gave her a surprise dance in her honor...a very touching moment. although at this moment I cannot recall all the dances nor all the names. I enjoyed myself as did my darling husband who stayed very entertained the entire time. Oh and the food was yummy. Besides the covered dishes Gaspars brought out am abundance of thier delicious food selection too. Enough to go around for everyone and that is saying quite alot. I wanted to stay for the drum circle to follow after the dance festivities but alas my Willow was patiently awaiting our return....she is such a good girl but she is not super dog and nature does call.
Students. Friends, troupes and new friends are always a good medicine. I had been feeling a bit stressed over building the studio here at home and the continuing demands of the home in GA. This was a good gronding reminder that there is always time to fuss but there is always time to relax and live in the moment too. I cannot wait until the next adventure...Pirate Festival, whoopee!
