This sultry goddess flung herself headlong into the LA Singer Songwriter scene and has already become a fixture, Queen of the Scene! Marissa, your energy and charm are... well... alluring and adorable! You are an honest songwriter who isn't afraid to be vulnerable and to put yourself out there. Keep up the great work! :-) You put the gusto back in life!

about me
On a quiz online that would make a "drink" out of you, I was described as:
1 part jealousy
3 parts ambition
5 parts joy
Method: Blend at a low speed for 30 seconds. Serve with a slice of sadness and a pinch of salt.
I think it's very accurate.
Here is a little about me. I'm a small-town girl (if 123,000 is small, it is in Southern California) of small stature, fiery half-redhead half-blonde with big city sensibilities, small town eventual aspirations, and big dreams. I'm often described as an old soul but I posses a younger frame. With my "baby" 1971 Fender F-25, Martin-Sigma SE-1N, Walden 630CE beloved acoustic guitar slung in one hand and a lot of spirit. I am a member of SongNet and Songsalive! You can find me playing all around town in what my friends call my soul-folk music. I also host what is called one of THE best open mics in town. I've only been at this for a short while so I am still evolving and changing as an artist, so sit back and enjoy the evolution? Feel free to contact me.
My interests outside of the music world are hiking, reading, pursuing the other artistic arts (I do a play or two, a bit of voiceover work on occasion), "the goods", I love a good road trip, a good drive, a good book, a good cup of coffee, a good flirt, I'm a comedy nut, my secret guilty pleasures are are chili cheese fries and root beer (whoops, not a secret anymore), and above all things, I have a tendency to get into trouble.
Right now I'm just working on my music, recording and enjoying life. Did I mention getting into trouble?

I don't play out that often anymore, being so busy with school, so I'd really appreciate it if you could make it out, it's free!
