What do I think..?
..I think it rocks!!! It's SO encouraging to see Tribe come back from Corporate Hell and return to the users.
I think going non-profit and soliciting donations -- via PayPal, perhaps -- would yield some results. I'd donate. I do it elsewhere... ...also ala NPR, you could do some simple "premiums" like Tribe T's for donations over $x.xx, for example... you go!! |

lovely
I like the ability to organize tribes more extensively, and the drop down menus are much more elegant.
Well done! |

THANK YOU
i had no idea how much I really missed the old feeling of tribe until you brought it back. I posted way back when the UI changes first came out, about losing that town square feel of the home page. Now I feel like I can see everybody again, not just MY friends, but everyone in the community and I love that more than anything. that's why I fell in love with Tribe and that's why I used to recruit so many more people to this site. Now I can go back to telling people about tribe with pride, not embarassment.
dammit, I was just starting to curb my internet addiction too... |

Nice.
Feels like the old home with some quality enhancements. The Welcome/My Stuff/Help box on the homepage and the rollover text links on every page are a welcome improvement. As is the elimination of the bulky banner. The my friends' photos is such a nice little add.

'Another Tribe'
It's good to see you back.
Tribe is it's own phenomenon, perhaps part of the "Web - Phase 3" that is just now being born. It can continue to grow into a new and renewed user base. I think it would be ideal for Tribe to remain "for profit," though it may not make huge profits. The best scenario here would be to find an owner who won't destroy it - who understands it, and can accept modest profits. Hard to find a large buyer that would give it that type of freedom. When Tribe merely follows the other 'Web 2.0' hype it seems to lose its effectiveness. Be first. Be best. Be different. Phase 3. |

Newbie
I'm too new to tribe to appreciate this revolution, but now that I've spent a little time exploring the modules and communicating with a few members, I can say that I am TOTALLY IMPRESSED. Quality members -- people who actually like to THINK (wow, what a concept) and not just figure out who they're going to get drunk with or hit on this weekend (myspace).
I am totally motivated to contribute to the success of this community in whatever way I can. |

YES, All Positive!
Tribe is becoming the communication infrastructure
for my social life AND my businesses. Compared to current methodologies as well as AOL, Prodigy, CompuServe & eWorld in the early 90's, Tribe is what we've all allways wanted! :-) Like my Dad's company Zenith (b4 faltering to 'foreign competition') and Apple Computer, Tribe's "quality goes in before the name goes on." Like my mom's company Allstate, we're "in good hands." Thanks for your visionary leadership, Mark... "Go(o)d is in the details." ;-) |
