Cliff's Variety ( local favorites » shops ) "Cliff's is the best hardware/costume store ever" Where else can you get the best costume accessories (wigs, tiara's boa's, etc), AND household handy supplies... Cliff's is awesome. The staff is super friendly, and they have what you're looking for. And their toy section is really cool too.

Bubble Lounge ( local favorites » bars / clubs / cafes ) "Great if you're in the mood for Fancy" This is a pretty fancy place. Perfect if you're in the mood to dress up and drink champagne on comfy overstuffed couches. The atmosphere is fun and the selection of wines and champagne is great.

Left Coast Cafe ( local favorites » restaurants ) "Left Coast Cafe, good but a bit expensive" Located in the Dolby Building Atrium at the corner of Ninth Street and Brannan. The food is really good, but a bit pricey. It's a good place to go if you want a nice lunch. Check out their daily specials.

Dos Pinas ( local favorites » restaurants ) "So-so mexican food, clean place with nice atmosphere" This is the closest place in the area for Mexican food, unless you want to go to the Mission, and it will pass if you really want a burrito. Not too expensive, but not that great either. Very clean, always busy at lunch time.. friendly staff.
