about me
Newly returned to the Mid-South after five years in the strange and dangerous Pacific Northwest. I am a changed man, a realized man--an elephant in a punchbowl. Most people don't "get" me at first, because there are a lot of social and cultural default settings that I don't really get into or fit into. I'm definitely not who I used to be, but I'm definitely not someone to be afraid of talking to or getting to know. I'm no better that anyone else, but I know that I am no longer interested in being anything other than myself.
I somehow went from being weaned on Eazy-E and NWA, skipping school and running the streets of Orange Mound to acquiring a degree in web design, going to Burning Man and being adopted by a community of artsy freaks from Canada--and back again. I've been from Baltimore Harbor to British Columbia--I've loved the most fiery and the most serene women that life can throw at a man. I've been to the innermost regoins of my own mind, and I've had sense enough to bring back the constructive things that can actually WORK in this tangible sense of "reality" that we all choose to walk around in. In retrospect, life's been one hell of a trip. Hopefully, mine won't end anytime soon.

No mysterious, flowery, cryptic and synonym-laden goobledygook. I'll neither give it, nor tolerate it. I am no longer feeling the excessive heart emoticons in my various inboxes.

'And this year is no exception. Throw in some spontaneous performances, artist networking, radio broadcasting and a some ripe social & political cheekiness, and you have a rough idea of what This Is Not Art Festival has become, the largest and most diverse annual media and arts festival in Australia.' originally published at Disinformation
Kyoto, Japan -- With Burma's brutal suppression of Buddhist monks and other protesters in September fading from the world's spotlight, members of the Burmese Sangha living abroad have stepped up their efforts to keep the world's attention on the ongoing crisis in their homeland.
