Over the years that I have known Martin, Martin has been a teacher, a friend, even a rival (at some points). Even through some hardships and some painful lessons we have both come through for the better. I hope that Martin as one of the people who turned me on to the power of creativity and art to continue his work within the realms of Spirit, Will, and Fun.

Martin actually kicks major ass. His self-taught knowledge of the functions and finesse of permaculture are the benchmark for what I aspire to comprehend. He earnestly and honestly works within deep layers of 'Life' with effortless simultaneousness, if that is a word. In one day will he joyously plant a mushroom, paint (and actually convey) the Essence of mycelial regeneration of compromised soil, cook up mushrooms for family and friends to share in his abundance and passion, and then read about mushrooms to learn the latin names of the types he likes.
He is an excellent father (completely sold on Rosalie- like, duh. She's epic.), a stalwart friend, a friggin *goofball*, and a mentor of mine.

martin is tall... he's like the tallest guy i know. my neck hurts when i look up at him. that's tall!

Working and playing with Martin these past years has been a true honor; his integrity, silent strength and guardianship, his wonderful humor, and vision have been a huge part of my experience working in the fire community - and I value his friendship deeply.
